Hezbollah Media Relations Department categorically denied the fabricated story, which was full of lies and fantasies and whose targets are well known, published by Nida Al-Watan newspaper on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

The statement indicated that the Nida Al-Watan fabricated story claimed that Hezbollah Coordination and Liaison Official Hajj Wafiq Safa is secretly working in favor of a presidential candidate other the one publicly endorsed by the Party.

The statement stressed that the content of the story is full of completely baseless and untrue claims.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah clearly announced in March, 2023, that the members of the Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc will vote for the Head of Marada Movement Sleiman Franjiyeh.

It is worth noting that the Lebanese parliament convened 12 times to elect a new president amid lack of a considerable consensus needed to secure 65 votes for one of the candidates to win in the second round.
