TEHRAN, February 18 (MNA) – Sixty years after the formation of its formation, the Munich Security Conference has not left a brilliant record regarding international peace and security.The 60th Munich Security Conference is being held from 16th February to 18th in the city of Munich with the presence of political, security, defense, and economic representatives of countries and international organizations.
Creating a platform for dialogue and diplomacy as well as preventing the recurrence of military conflicts like World War II was the main goal behind the formation of this conference.
Today, sixty years after the formation of this annual meeting, its founder, Germany, has prioritized the military approach and actively participated in the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Germany also opposes the cessation of the Zionist regime's military operations in the occupied Palestinian territories and acts in favor of this regime at the Hague Court.
The other co-founder of this conference, the United States, has been involved in various coups, military interventions, and the overthrow of various political systems in all parts of the world before and after the Cold War.
The United States has always been indifferent to dialogue and diplomacy.
To mend its tarnished warmongering image, Germany put the slogan of diplomacy and dialogue on the agenda after World War II Therefore, two destructive and dangerous Western powers have been the founders of a conference for dialogue and diplomacy.
In practice, this conference has been a ground for coordinating the policies and actions of Western powers and their allies against their allies.
After the end of the Cold War and the expansion of NATO to the East, the Munich Security Conference tactically opened its arms to the East and invited Eastern politicians to this conference.
Also, independent governments need lobbies to present their views and find the opportunity to speak at this conference.
Therefore, there is absolutely no equal chance for independent countries compared to the Westerners and their allies.
Bilateral meetings between representatives of countries and international organizations is the most important advantage for independent countries in this conference.
In recent years, those involved in this conference have removed the mask from their faces.
The conference has turned into a ground for giving opportunities and privileges to some countries and also leveraging pressure on others.
They not only prevent the presence of the official representatives of some independent and opposing countries, but on the contrary, they invite the opposing forces of the political system of these countries.
