TEHRAN, January 16 (MNA) – Sheikh Yusuf Al-Naseri, Secretary General of Iraqi Ulama, haild the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Tuesday night's airstrikes against Mossad and ISIL terrorists bases in Iraq and Syria.

"The IRGC missile attack on Zionist terrorists's hideouts in Erbil and Idlib was an important attack to eliminate these terrorists because these two bases used to strengthen the Zionist bases in the region.

as their mercenary arms in the region," Al-Naseri said in an interview with Mehr.

"This appropriate and evaluable IRGC action was an outstanding step in uprooting all terrorists in the region and a step to continue the destruction of terrorism in all terrorist-held areas, especially Zionist terrorism in occupied Palestine," the Iraqi cleric said.

"We also hope that with God's permission, the major terrorists in occupied Palestine, neamely the Zionist regime will be destroyed.

In fact, this action will lead to the return of security and stability to the region and will have positive results," the senior Iraqi cleric said.

"The Zionist regime's media and some regional media are trying to depict those IRGC missile attacks as in violation of international law and diplomacy and something like that, but in fact, it is the Zionist regime that does not recognize human rights and international law," he added.

"This action sent a reassuring message to the allies and friends of Iran, because the Axis of Resistance was waiting for the IRGC to come along with them in this war, because this war is a war for existence.

This powerful IRGC action was reassuring for its allies and is the beginning of a new phase of the destruction of the Zionist regime," he added.

"In my opinion, this vigorous IRGC action was reassuring for its allies and it is the beginning of a new phase of the destruction of the Zionist regime, and as we heard this promise from [Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran] Imam Khamenei that Israel will be destroyed in a short time and this is near, God willing,"Al-Naseri went on to conclude the interview with Mehr.
