Hezbollah pounded late on Saturday the Israeli settlement of Meron with dozens of Katyusha rockets, as the Israeli media voiced concerns over the mounting night attacks staged by the Lebanese resistance groups.

In a statement overnight, Hezbollah’s Military Media announced a strike on Meron and the surrounding settlements with dozens of Katyusha rockets.

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza and reinforcing their courageous and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli attacks on the resilient southern villages and civilian homes, especially in the towns of Al-Qouzah, Markaba, and Sarbeen, the Islamic Resistance fighters have targeted the settlement of Meron and the surrounding settlements with tens of Katyusha rockets,” the statement read.

The strike on Meron was described as heavy and was one of four strikes carried out by Hezbollah on Saturday, in support of Gaza and in retaliation of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

Hezbollah Nighttime Strikes Israeli media voiced concern on Sunday over the night attacks by Hezbollah on the Israeli border sites, citing the attack which killed an Israeli who was contracted by the occupation army late on Thursday in the occupied Shebaa Farms (referred to in the Zionist entity as Har Dov or Mount Dov).

Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said “the deadly incident, in which truck driver Sharif Suwaid was killed, served as a reminder that the restrictions announced by the operational leadership at night in the border area must be strictly adhered to.

According to the video released by Hezbollah, the trucks were shown with their lights on.” Following is the video released by Hezbollah showing the strike: “On the Lebanese border, and even more so in the Mount Dov sector, there has been a recent change in direction, with Hezbollah attempting to carry out more nighttime strikes,” the Israeli daily reported.

Yedioth Ahronoth added that in the Northern Command, “they make sure to disappear in the evening, with the intention of dimming or turning off the lights and other means in the camps and military sites near the border to avoid being detected by Hezbollah observers and drones.” However, it noted that the occupation army in the recent case in Shebaa Farms, “settled for a vague and incomplete statement about the circumstances of the incident.”
