Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Zionist regime has seized all vessels belonging to the Samoud Flotilla and detained 430 pro-Palestine activists on board in what has been widely condemned as a blatant act of maritime piracy.
The flotilla, also known as the “Persistence Flotilla,” was en route to the coast of Gaza Strip in an effort to break the Israeli blockade and deliver a symbolic message of solidarity with the besieged Palestinian population.
Hebrew-language media reported that the Zionist navy intercepted and took control of all ships participating in the mission. Channel 14 acknowledged that the Israeli navy had assumed full control over the vessels in the flotilla.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry also officially confirmed the operation, admitting that all ships had been seized and that 430 activists were transferred to vessels operated by the occupation regime.
Earlier Court Order Confiscated 11 Flotilla Vessels
In a related development, an Israeli court approved the permanent confiscation of 11 ships and boats captured from the Samoud Flotilla in October 2025.
According to Israel Hayom, the court accepted a government request to transfer ownership of the seized vessels to the Israeli regime, effectively legalizing what critics describe as outright theft of humanitarian and solidarity ships.
The confiscated vessels were formally registered as property of the occupying regime.
International Condemnation
The seizure of the flotilla has triggered widespread condemnation from international activists and Palestinian resistance movements, which described the operation as a clear violation of international law and freedom of navigation.
The Samoud Flotilla was carrying hundreds of activists from various countries who sought to challenge the blockade of Gaza and draw global attention to the humanitarian catastrophe imposed by the Israeli siege.
