Yemen’s Leader Declares Full Support for Iran: Our Hands Are on the Trigger
Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi declared Yemen’s full support for Iran, warning that military escalation remains ready if events require it.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi reaffirmed Yemen’s full and unwavering support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian people, declaring that Yemen remains prepared for military escalation should developments on the ground require it.
In his sixteenth Ramadan lecture delivered on the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr and amid the latest phase of American-Israeli aggression against Iran, the Ansarullah leader said Yemen stands firmly alongside Iran in what he described as a decisive confrontation between truth and falsehood, Islam and disbelief, and the oppressed and the aggressors.
He stressed that the battle is not a narrow conflict limited to one state, but rather a war targeting the entire Islamic Ummah through aggression against one of its central pillars.
“Our Hands Are on the Trigger”
In one of the sermon’s clearest and most forceful declarations, Sayyed al-Houthi stated:
“We affirm our stand alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Muslim Iranian people, and we are active across various fields, while our hands are on the trigger with regard to military escalation and military action, at any moment developments may require that. We consider this battle the battle of the entire Ummah.”
The statement amounted to an unmistakable warning that Yemen’s position is not symbolic, rhetorical, or merely political, but tied to active readiness in the event of further escalation by Washington and Tel Aviv.
Sayyed Al-Houthi’s remarks framed the conflict as one that no free people in the region can afford to watch from the sidelines, especially as the United States and the Zionist regime seek to impose what he described as an equation of open violation and domination over the region.
Iran at the Frontline of the Ummah’s Defense
The Ansarullah leader said the Islamic Republic of Iran, its people, official institutions, and the IRGC are now at the forefront of a wider regional confrontation against the American and Israeli project.
He praised Iran’s official and popular stance as “very strong,” emphasizing the role of the IRGC and the Iranian army in carrying out effective operations in the path of jihad.
According to al-Houthi, Iranian strikes have inflicted serious punishment on the enemy, including heavy blows against American bases and effective attacks against Israeli targets.
He said the United States has been driven into a state of fear and confusion, describing how American forces have fled from military bases to hotels, while others have begun leaving the region altogether.
Hezbollah and Iraqi Resistance Also Praised
Al-Houthi also praised the role of Hezbollah and the Iraqi resistance movements, saying both have surprised the enemy with the scale and effectiveness of their operations.
He said Hezbollah had shocked its enemies, who believed it had been pushed to “zero,” only to find it carrying out operations with force, vitality, and effectiveness.
He also commended the Iraqi resistance for sustaining continuous operations day and night, saying their actions were fully justified in the face of aggression.
Together, he presented Iran, Hezbollah, Iraqi resistance factions, and Yemen as forming the camp of the free people of the Ummah in direct confrontation with the camp of American-Zionist aggression.
A Battle Between Islam and the Forces of Arrogance
A central theme of al-Houthi’s sermon was that the war against Iran must be understood as a war against Islam and Muslims more broadly, not as an isolated dispute between states.
He rejected attempts by hypocrites and those “in whose hearts is disease” to portray the confrontation as a local or limited power struggle disconnected from the Ummah.
Instead, he insisted that the matter is completely clear: America and Israel initiated a treacherous and criminal aggression against a Muslim people and a central state of the Islamic world.
He described the confrontation as one between Islam and disbelief, truth and falsehood, aggressors and the oppressed, saying the proper stance must be determined on that basis.
American Bases Exposed as a Burden, Not Protection
In a major political message directed at Arab governments, al-Houthi said recent developments have exposed the real role of American military bases in Arab countries.
He said those bases do not exist to protect the host countries, but to protect the Israeli enemy and to facilitate aggression against the peoples of the region.
According to him, some Arab regimes once imagined that the presence of American bases guaranteed their own security and survival. But the current war has shown the opposite: Washington now expects those same regimes to protect the bases, defend them, and even shield Israel from missiles and drones.
He argued that American bases have become a heavy burden politically, militarily, financially, and strategically, and that the countries hosting them are being dragged into grave dangers for the sake of American and Israeli interests.
Call for Mass Mobilization in Yemen
Al-Houthi concluded by calling on the Yemeni people to take to the streets in massive demonstrations on Friday, both to commemorate the Battle of Badr and to reaffirm their steadfast position in support of Iran, فلسطين, and the free people of the Ummah.
He said the mobilization should send a clear message of readiness, commitment, and refusal to retreat in the face of American-Israeli aggression.
For al-Houthi, the anniversary of Badr is not merely a historical remembrance, but a living lesson in how a believing nation must confront tyrants, trust in God, and stand unshaken in decisive moments. (PW)
