Yemen’s Grand Mufti Calls for Unity Against the Enemies of Allah
Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din calls for steadfast support for Palestine and warns against collaboration with the enemy
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Yemen’s Grand Mufti, Sayyed Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and to President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, over the martyrdom of Prime Minister Ahmad Ghalib al-Rahwi and several ministers killed in last Thursday’s Israeli strike on a civilian government workshop in Sana’a.
Speaking during the funeral at Al-Shaab Mosque in the Yemeni capital, Sharaf al-Din reaffirmed the Yemeni people’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and their solidarity with the fighters in Gaza, regardless of hardship or sacrifice.
Praise for Fallen Leaders and Call for Unity
Sharaf al-Din described al-Rahwi and his fellow martyred ministers as men who “fulfilled what they pledged to Allah,” dying in the line of duty without hesitation or retreat, fully aware of their constant confrontation with the enemy.
He stressed the importance of preserving Yemeni unity, consolidating ranks, and strengthening the national front against “the enemies of Allah” who work tirelessly day and night to undermine the nation.
He underscored that defending justice is a religious duty, adding that if any individual — even a family member — is found to be collaborating or communicating with the aggressors, it is an obligation to report them immediately to protect lives, safeguard national unity, and preserve the country’s principles.
Commitment to Resistance and the Palestinian Cause
The Grand Mufti declared that the assassination of the prime minister and his ministers would only strengthen Yemen’s resolve to confront the “usurping Zionist entity and its American patron” and to continue supporting Palestine and the resistance in Gaza.
He described martyrdom as an unparalleled honor in this life, emphasizing that these leaders gave their lives in the path of God, standing firm against the Israeli and American aggressors.
Concluding his remarks, Sharaf al-Din urged Yemenis to “move and strive as they did, so that we may meet Allah on the path of martyrdom and in the field of sacrifice.” (PW)
