Yemeni Leader: Trump’s ‘Peace Council’ Is a Project of Domination, Not Peace
Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi Warns That Washington’s Agenda Targets the Ummah, Serves US–Israeli Interests, and Masks Aggression With False Slogans
Yemen | PUREWILAYAH.COM — Yemeni Leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi has issued a sweeping condemnation of what is being promoted as Trump’s so-called “Peace Council,” warning that it will neither deliver peace nor fulfill the hopes of Arabs and Muslims, but will instead serve as a tool of American and Israeli domination over the region.
Speaking on January 22, 2026, during an address marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of President Saleh Ali al-Sammad, Sayyed al-Houthi stated that US-led arrangements are not designed to create stability, peace, or normalization, but are explicitly structured to target the Ummah and entrench foreign control.
A Council Built Around Trump, Not Peace
Sayyed Al-Houthi explained that every provision of Trump’s council revolves around Donald Trump himself, reflecting a political project driven by personal ambition, coercion, and the open seizure of the wealth and resources of other peoples.
He described Trump as a clear and exposed embodiment of Zionist-oriented greed—American, Israeli, British, and Western—stressing that Trump is not an exception within the US system, but rather its most naked and visible expression.
According to the Yemeni Leader, the council’s priorities reveal its true function: domination disguised as diplomacy.
Gaza: Disarmament and Exploitation Under the Cover of ‘Peace’
Addressing Gaza, Sayyed al-Houthi said the council’s main priority in what is described as a “second phase” is the disarmament of the Palestinian people, including even basic personal weapons, alongside foreign investment schemes.
He noted that Trump has repeatedly and openly spoken about his ambitions for investment projects in Gaza, its coastline, and its territorial waters, including the exploitation of oil and gas resources—demonstrating that economic plunder, not peace, lies at the heart of the project.
Israeli Crimes Continue Despite Agreements
Sayyed Al-Houthi emphasized that agreements have failed to restrain Israeli aggression. Following the Gaza ceasefire, Israeli forces continue the daily killing of children and women, enforce a suffocating siege, and allow only minimal food and essential supplies to enter the territory.
He said Israel persists in closing crossings, blocking tents, caravans, and mobile housing units, while the world witnesses the immense suffering imposed on the Palestinian people across all aspects of life.
From the West Bank to Lebanon: Aggression Without Restraint
Turning to the occupied West Bank, Sayyed al-Houthi stated that Israeli forces continue to carry out comprehensive aggression, including the destruction of more than 2,500 homes, systematic killings, and the continuation of siege measures.
He detailed ongoing practices of killing, looting, arson, crop destruction, livestock theft, kidnappings, and violent assaults against civilians of all ages, alongside near-daily violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and repeated incursions.
He expressed deep concern that such violations have become normalized across the Arab and Islamic world, with no effective collective stance remaining.
In Lebanon, Sayyed al-Houthi said Israeli aggression continues unabated despite agreements and guarantors, citing ongoing killings, destruction, airspace violations, incursions, bombardments, and kidnappings, with many detainees still held in Israeli custody.
Syria: Alignment With Washington Does Not Prevent Occupation
Addressing Syria, Sayyed al-Houthi stressed that even where forces controlling the country openly align themselves with the United States and signal readiness for normalization with Israel, violations and occupation persist.
He said Syria remains subject to continuous incursions, territorial seizure, and foreign domination, underscoring that loyalty to Washington offers no protection from aggression.
A Broader Imperial Pattern
Sayyed Al-Houthi placed Trump’s council within a wider global pattern of US behavior, pointing to Washington’s increasingly open bullying—from attempts to impose control over Greenland to long-standing oppression and plunder across Latin America.
He also highlighted the failure of intense US-Israeli efforts to destabilize the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting that foreign-backed criminal networks collapsed entirely and that Iran remains under the firm control of its people and its Islamic system, under the leadership of Ayatullah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
False Slogans and the Path Forward
Concluding his address, Sayyed al-Houthi warned the peoples of the region against being deceived by American slogans of peace and stability, no matter how aggressively they are promoted by allied regimes.
He stressed that the true path forward for the Ummah lies in faith, awareness, independence, and resistance—not in reliance on the United States or its partners.
According to the Yemeni Leader, Trump’s so-called Peace Council represents not a solution to regional crises, but a continuation of imperial domination under a new name—one that Yemen, Iran, and the forces of resistance firmly reject. (PW)
