Yemen Vows Swift and Decisive Response to Zionist Aggression
Government, Foreign Ministry, and Armed Forces Condemn Targeting of Civilian Sites; Pledge Swift and Decisive Response and Continued Support for Gaza and the Palestinian Resistance
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Government of Change and Construction condemned the Zionist aggression on the Yemeni capital Sana’a and Al-Jawf Governorate, describing the airstrikes as part of the enemy’s “dirty attempts” to target civilians, disrupt daily life, and fabricate illusions of victory through plumes of smoke.
In its statement, the government affirmed that the enemy’s actions confirm it is waging an aggressive war against the entire Arab and Islamic nation, holding both the Zionist entity and its American partner fully responsible for the consequences of this aggression.
The government stressed that Yemen will not be deterred from its active and effective role in banning Zionist navigation and striking Zionist targets, vowing to maintain its escalating stance until the aggression ceases and the siege on Gaza is lifted. It declared that the Israeli aggression will not go unanswered, emphasizing Yemen’s full right to defend its sovereignty, people, and resources “by all available means.”
Foreign Ministry: Israel Will Pay a Heavy Price
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates asserted that the usurping Zionist entity will pay a heavy price for its continued aggression against Yemen, including its latest strikes targeting numerous civilian sites in Sana’a and Al-Jawf, which resulted in dozens of civilian casualties.
The ministry stated that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure constitutes a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, particularly the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention and its 1977 Additional Protocol.
It praised Yemen’s air defense forces for intercepting hostile Israeli aircraft and underscored that the latest attack adds to the enemy’s long record of bloodshed and destruction.
The ministry condemned the international community’s “shameful silence” in the face of crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Yemen, Gaza, and other countries in the region — silence which has emboldened Israel to persist in its recklessness and brutality.
The statement reaffirmed that the cowardly aggression will only strengthen Yemen’s resolve to support Palestine and uphold its moral and historic position in backing Gaza and the steadfast Palestinian people.
Failed Aggression and Air Defense Success
On Wednesday afternoon, the Israeli enemy launched a series of strikes targeting civilian sites in Sana’a, including the government complex in Al-Hazm, the headquarters of the Moral Guidance Department in Al-Tahrir Square, and a medical facility serving the health sector on Sixty Street.
The Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed that air defenses engaged the hostile aircraft, launching multiple surface-to-air missiles that forced most of the enemy’s combat formations to withdraw before completing their missions — thereby thwarting the majority of the attack.
The military rejected Israeli claims of targeting missile launch platforms, affirming that the strikes hit purely civilian facilities, including the offices of 26 September and Al-Yemen newspapers, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of journalists and civilians.
Unified Defiance and Continued Operations Against Israel
President Mahdi Al-Mashat declared the aggression a “failure,” warning Zionists to remain in constant readiness as “the response is coming without question” and noting that the attack “has given Yemen an even greater opportunity to respond with all the strength at its disposal.”
Senior Yemeni officials, including the head of the state news agency and members of the Ansar Allah Political Bureau, described the attack as a desperate act by a defeated enemy seeking an illusory media victory.
Despite the escalation, Yemeni officials reaffirmed that the aggression will not halt Yemen’s support for Gaza, nor its operations deep inside the Israeli entity — the latest being a strike on Ramon Airport in southern occupied Palestine just two days ago. (PW)
