Yemen Successfully Hits Israel’s Nevatim Airbase, Vows Continued Operations
The Yemeni Armed Forces have successfully executed a military operation targeting the Nevatim airbase in Israel's Negev region, utilizing an advanced domestically developed hypersonic missile
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Yemeni Armed Forces have successfully executed a military operation targeting the "Nevatim" airbase in Israel's Negev region, utilizing an advanced domestically developed hypersonic missile. The strike is the latest escalation in Yemen's ongoing campaign against Israeli and U.S. targets in support of Gaza.
In an official statement, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed that the operation was carried out using the "Palestine-2" hypersonic ballistic missile, which is said to have evaded Israeli air defense systems and struck its intended target.
"The missile reached its objective, by the grace of God, and the enemy's interception systems failed to stop it," the statement said.
The Nevatim airbase, a key Israeli military facility, has previously been targeted in regional confrontations. This latest attack demonstrates Yemen's growing missile capabilities and its determination to engage in long-range strikes.
Yemen Reaffirms Commitment to Resist U.S. Aggression and Military Development
The Yemeni Armed Forces also reiterated their commitment to resisting U.S. aggression and pledged to continue developing their military strength.
“With God's help, we will continue to confront the American aggression and will not cease enhancing our military strength,” the statement emphasized.
Additionally, Yemen declared that its "defensive and support operations" would continue until Israel halts its offensive in Gaza and lifts the blockade on Palestinian territories.
“Our operations will continue until the aggression against Gaza ends and the siege is completely lifted,” the Yemeni military added.
Alarm Sounds in Southern Occupied Palestine
Earlier, alarms were heard in the Negev and Be’er Sheva in southern occupied Palestine on Saturday dawn following the launch of a ballistic missile from Yemen, according to reports from Israeli media.
Despite claims from Israeli spokespersons that the missile was intercepted before reaching occupied Palestinian territories, videos circulating on social media showed the missile flying over Palestinian skies, coinciding with the sounding of alarms and the activation of alert systems.
Israeli media reported that this marks the tenth missile launched from Yemen since the beginning of April, with alarms only heard in Be’er Sheva and surrounding areas.
Yemen's Ongoing Support for Gaza Amid Aggression
Despite the ongoing aggression and crimes committed against it, Yemen continues its military campaign in support of Gaza, persistently targeting deep areas of occupied Palestine in defense of the Gaza Strip. Yemen has also maintained a blockade on Zionist maritime activities and has attacked U.S. destroyers and hostile naval vessels. (PW)
