Yemen Enforces Naval Blockade: Magic Seas Vessel Sinks in Red Sea
Despite the intensity of the strike, the Yemeni military confirmed that the crew was allowed to evacuate safely, in line with Yemen’s commitment to humanitarian principles during combat operations
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM – The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Monday that they launched a coordinated military operation targeting the Magic Seas vessel, owned by a shipping company that repeatedly violated the ban on entering occupied Palestinian ports.
The attack comes as part of Yemen’s escalating military campaign to pressure the Zionist entity and force an end to its aggression on the Gaza Strip.
In an official statement, the Yemeni military confirmed that the attack on the vessel was a direct response to the company’s indirect logistical support for Israel. The Magic Seas and other affiliated ships had entered Israeli-controlled ports multiple times in recent weeks, despite repeated warnings from Yemen’s naval forces.
Combined Naval, Aerial, and Missile Strike
The military operation against Magic Seas involved the coordinated use of Yemen’s key combat branches:
Two unmanned naval drones (explosive-laden boats)
Five ballistic and cruise missiles
Three combat drones (UAVs)
As a result of the attack, Magic Seas sustained direct hits and began to take on water. At the time of the statement’s release, the vessel was already sinking in the Red Sea.
Despite the intensity of the strike, the Yemeni military confirmed that the crew was allowed to evacuate safely, in line with Yemen’s commitment to humanitarian principles during combat operations.
Yemen Issues Prior Warnings
The military emphasized that repeated warnings and calls were issued to the Magic Seas prior to the operation, all of which were ignored by the ship’s crew.
Yemen described the violation as a clear act of complicity with Israeli aggression and occupation, reinforcing the military and economic networks of the Zionist regime.
Yemen: All Complicit Ships Are Legitimate Targets
"The Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate to use appropriate force against any ship owned by companies collaborating with the Zionist enemy and violating the naval blockade on occupied Palestinian ports," the statement declared.
The Yemeni military further affirmed that all such ships are now considered legitimate targets, wherever they may be, and full responsibility lies with the companies involved.
Wider Campaign to Target Zionist Infrastructure
Yemen made clear that its operations are not limited to the seas.
The military pledged to continue targeting:
Deep infrastructure within occupied Palestinian territories
Israeli maritime activity in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea
The vital port of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat)
These measures, they said, will persist until the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is fully lifted.
The statement concluded with a powerful vow of defiance and support for the oppressed:
"Long live Yemen — free, proud, and sovereign! Victory to Yemen and to all the free people of this Ummah!" (PW)
