The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a series of operations targeting a Saudi oil tanker in the northern Red Sea and Saudi military positions across multiple fronts, marking a significant escalation under Sana’a’s declared maritime ban against the Saudi-led aggression.
Military Spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed in a televised statement that Yemeni forces struck the Saudi oil tanker Amzan off the coast of Yanbu with a ballistic missile, describing the hit as “precise and direct.” The strike ignited a fire aboard the vessel and sent other ships in the vicinity fleeing the area.
Saree stressed that the operation was carried out in full enforcement of the Yemeni Armed Forces’ decision to impose a maritime ban on the Saudi enemy, reaffirming the principle of “a blockade met with a blockade.”
Coordinated Strikes on Saudi Military Convoys and Positions
Beyond the maritime operation, Saree detailed two additional military actions targeting Saudi ground forces.
In the first, Yemeni forces engaged a large Saudi military convoy transporting weapons and equipment through the areas of Al-Ubra and Al-Wadi’a, using a combination of ballistic missiles and drones. The strike destroyed more than ten trucks loaded with arms that were reportedly en route from Saudi Arabia to be used against the Yemeni people.
The second operation targeted Saudi forces entrenched in the Al-Kanais area. According to Saree, the assault resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Saudi personnel, including officers and commanders, alongside the burning and destruction of several weapons depots.
The operations underscore Sana’a’s continued resolve in confronting the Saudi-led aggression and its unwavering commitment to defending Yemen’s sovereignty and lifting the siege imposed on its people.
