Yemen Denounces ‘Fabricated’ Israeli Assassination Claims, Stages Million-Strong Pro-Palestine Marches
Defense Ministry sources say Israel has failed to target Yemeni leaders, accuse Tel Aviv of psychological warfare as mass rallies across Yemen reaffirm unwavering support for Gaza
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - No Yemeni military leaders have been assassinated, according to sources in Yemen’s Defense Ministry who told Al Mayadeen’s correspondent that recent Israeli media reports were “entirely fabricated” and part of “psychological warfare.”
The Defense Ministry source asserted that “Israel” has completely failed in its attempts to target Yemeni commanders, noting that Yemen’s military leadership has drawn significant lessons from conflicts across the region.
Officials believe that these unsubstantiated claims are aimed at preparing the Israeli public for future Yemeni operations capable of striking deep inside Israeli territory.
The denial comes just days after Israeli airstrikes hit residential areas in the capital, Sanaa, contradicting earlier Israeli claims of carrying out “major assassinations.”
Millions Rally for Gaza Across Yemen
Despite the bombardments, the Yemeni people held massive, million-strong marches across the country on Friday in support of Gaza and the Palestinian resistance.
Under the slogan “With Gaza, in struggle and steadfastness… enraged by the spilled blood and violated sanctities,” demonstrators filled al-Sabeen Square in Sanaa, as well as over 500 central and local gathering points in governorates including Al Hodeidah, Hajjah, Ibb, Amran, Taiz, Dhamar, al-Bayda, al-Jawf, al-Mahwit, and parts of Ad Dali’ and Lahj.
In their official statement, participants pledged unwavering support for Palestine “until victory is achieved,” declaring that “any Zionist or American aggression or escalation cannot force us to abandon our religion, our identity, our principles, our values, and our stance with Gaza.”
Warning Over Al-Aqsa and ‘Greater Israel’ Plans
The marches also warned of ongoing “practical steps” to damage and eventually demolish the al-Aqsa Mosque as part of what they see as a larger scheme to establish the so-called “Greater Israel.”
Organizers urged the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations to prepare for confronting these moves, stressing that vigilance and unity are essential to counter Zionist escalation.
Yemeni Military’s Missile Breakthrough
Participants praised the Yemeni Armed Forces for their recent missile development — a warhead capable of fragmenting mid-flight — which, they said, “has driven the Zionists to madness since the very first strike.”
The rallies also condemned the recent act of burning a copy of the Holy Quran, allegedly committed by “a Zionist and American enemy through an American Zionist sympathizer.” (PW)
