X Removes Araghchi’s Documentary Post Uncovering Terror Operations in Iran
The documentary post highlighted terror operations while condemning Davos’ selective morality after Iran’s foreign minister was barred.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The social media platform X removed a post by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi that included a short documentary documenting armed, ISIS-style terrorist operations linked to recent unrest in Iran.
The post was published as a direct response to the World Economic Forum’s decision to cancel Araghchi’s participation in the Davos summit, a move he said followed lies and political pressure from Israel and its supporters in the United States.
Both the post and the attached video were removed by X within minutes of publication
.
Post Responded to Davos Exclusion
In the now-removed post but can still be found on his telegram, Araghchi stated that the WEF’s decision to bar him from Davos was not based on ethical or neutral considerations.
“The World Economic Forum canceled my presence in Davos based on lies and political pressure from Israel and its agents and supporters in the United States,” Araghchi wrote.
He said the decision reflected the political nature of institutions that claim to represent global dialogue while excluding opposing narratives.
Documentary Showed Armed Violence, Not Civil Protest
The documentary attached to the post contained footage documenting armed violence, terrorist attacks, and ISIS-style killings, which Araghchi said represented the actual nature of the unrest in Iran.
Rejecting portrayals of the events as peaceful demonstrations, he wrote:
“There is a fundamental truth in the recent violence in Iran:
we had to defend our people against armed terrorists and ISIS-style massacres that were openly supported by Mossad.”
The footage was presented as visual documentation challenging Western media framing of the events.
Digital Platforms Shape Narrative Access
The removal of the post and documentary highlights a broader pattern in which Western-based digital platforms determine which narratives remain accessible to global audiences.
Content that contradicts dominant Western narratives—particularly on Iran, Palestine, and resistance movements—is increasingly filtered, restricted, or removed under opaque moderation standards.
WEF Applies Selective Standards
In his statement, Araghchi contrasted his exclusion with the continued presence of Israeli officials at international forums.
“The genocide of Palestinians by Israel and the mass killing of 71,000 innocent people did not cause the World Economic Forum to cancel the invitation of Israeli officials,”
he wrote.
He noted that Israeli President Isaac Herzog appeared at Davos in January 2024, despite ongoing legal complaints filed in Switzerland over Israel’s actions in Gaza.
Consistency and Institutional Credibility
Araghchi said the World Economic Forum presents itself as a moral authority, yet applies its standards selectively.
“The World Economic Forum can pretend to take an apparently ‘moral’ stance if it wants, but at least be consistent.”
He described the forum’s conduct as evidence of moral decay and intellectual bankruptcy.
Documentary Republished
Following the removal by X, IRIB republished the documentary, stating that the material was released to inform public opinion after its deletion from the platform.
Public Judgment
Araghchi concluded in his post that “People have the right to know the truth and judge for themselves. Shame is only for those who think otherwise.”
The episode illustrates how digital moderation and political exclusion operate together, shaping who is allowed to speak and what information reaches the public sphere. (PW)
