Venezuela and Greenland Expose U.S. Expansionist Behavior: Sayyed al-Houthi
Yemeni leader cites U.S. actions in Venezuela and Greenland, warns of ongoing Israeli crimes in Gaza and occupied Palestine
Yemen | PUREWILAYAH.COM - Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi stated that the United States’ global orientation is fundamentally based on tyranny, arrogance, and injustice, stressing that Washington’s conduct is openly exposed through both words and actions.
Speaking on the anniversary of the Martyr Leader for the year 1447 AH, Sayyed al-Houthi highlighted several examples that, he said, clearly reveal the nature of U.S. policies worldwide.
Venezuela and Greenland Highlight U.S. Expansionist Behavior
Sayyed al-Houthi pointed to U.S. actions against Venezuela, stating that Washington carried out the abduction of the Venezuelan president and his wife, while openly declaring the objectives of its aggression against the country.
He said the United States has publicly acknowledged that its actions against Venezuela are aimed at looting the country’s wealth and its vast oil resources and placing them under American control. Sayyed al-Houthi noted that U.S. President Donald Trump has openly stated these intentions.
He also referred to U.S. efforts to take control of Greenland, describing it as a vast island comparable in size to major countries such as Saudi Arabia or Algeria, and rich in rare minerals and enormous resources. He said Washington has openly declared its desire to seize the island from Denmark due to its wealth and strategic location.
A Warning to the Ummah and the World
Sayyed al-Houthi stated that such American behavior represents a danger to all peoples of the world and highlights the importance of global awareness and action among nations that seek freedom, dignity, and independence.
He said that what the United States has done in Venezuela and what it seeks to do regarding Denmark should serve as a lesson for the Ummah and the peoples of the region, noting that similar actions were previously carried out by the United States in Japan, Vietnam, and other countries.
Sayyed al-Houthi added that the United States has clear objectives and ambitions, including pursuing a Zionist project in the region, which underscores the importance of correct and conscious action.
Israeli Crimes in Gaza Must Not Be Normalized
Addressing the situation in occupied Palestine, Sayyed al-Houthi spoke about the actions of the Israeli occupation during the past two years, particularly in Gaza, stating that the occupation continues to commit crimes and attacks against the Palestinian people.
He said that Israeli actions in Gaza, its daily violations in the West Bank, repeated incursions against al-Aqsa Mosque, and measures targeting the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil, with the aim of full and permanent control, are crimes witnessed daily by the Ummah and must not become routine or accepted.
Sayyed al-Houthi questioned Israel’s conduct during the first phase of the Gaza agreement, stating that the occupation has failed to fulfill most of its commitments. He pointed to the continuation of the siege, daily killings, demolition of remaining buildings, and the ongoing commission of various crimes.
He concluded by stressing that the Israeli enemy remains a threat to the Ummah and warned against being misled by so-called peace slogans promoted by the United States and other actors. (PW)
