Velayati: We Support Hezbollah as a Main Pillar of the Resistance Front
Tehran reaffirms unwavering backing for Hezbollah amid regional tensions and repeated Zionist ceasefire violations
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Sayyed Abdullah Safi al-Din, Hizbullah’s representative in Tehran, met with Ali Akbar Velayati, Senior Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on International Affairs, to discuss the latest regional and international developments.
According to IRIB News Agency, Sayyed Safi al-Din provided a detailed briefing on the situation in Lebanon, Hezbollah, and the Axis of Resistance, emphasizing that Hezbollah today is stronger than ever and fully prepared to defend Lebanon’s territorial integrity and its people. He stressed that Hizbullah will never lay down its weapons, regardless of external pressure.
Hezbollah’s Readiness and Response to Ceasefire Violations
Addressing the issue of repeated ceasefire violations, Sayyed Safi al-Din warned that the Zionist regime and its supporters must be fully aware that Hezbollah will respond decisively whenever it chooses to do so.
He underlined that Hezbollah’s strength, preparedness, and deterrence capability remain intact, reaffirming the Resistance’s readiness to confront any aggression against Lebanon.
Iran’s Firm Support for the Resistance Front
Sayyed Safi al-Din expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly the steadfast backing of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
He noted that Ali Akbar Velayati has been among Hezbollah’s key supporters since the movement’s founding, playing an effective and decisive role in supporting the Resistance, especially during the 16-day war.
He stated that this support led, for the first time, to the Zionist regime committing itself to a UN-endorsed ceasefire, ultimately contributing to the stabilization of Lebanon’s southern borders with occupied Palestine.
In response, Ali Akbar Velayati highlighted Hezbollah’s strategic importance, describing it as one of the most vital pillars of the Resistance Front.
He affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership and guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, will continue to firmly support Hezbollah and the Resistance at the front lines of the struggle against Zionism. (PW)
