U.S. Power in Decline, Military "Decayed and Exhausted: Salami
Major General Salami calls U.S. leadership powerless, warns Israel of total collapse, and affirms Iran's rising strength amid growing regional tensions
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Major General Hossein Salami, the Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), delivered a powerful speech in the northeastern city of Mashhad on Tuesday, declaring that the United States is in a state of disarray and incapable of mounting an effective military threat against Iran.
“America knows that war has not resolved any of its problems; it is facing a decayed and exhausted army, beleaguered and powerless political leaders, and an overwhelming array of crises and challenges,” General Salami said.
He warned that while Washington has recently issued threats of military action should negotiations on reviving the 2015 nuclear deal fail, Iran is prepared for any scenario. He assured the audience that any confrontation would end in humiliation for Iran’s enemies.
“The president of the United States initially came in like a bully to change the world, but now he is the one being changed and has failed in and retreated from all his plans.”
Iran Standing Firm Despite Political Negotiations
Addressing the status of diplomatic efforts, General Salami emphasized that Iran remains vigilant and steadfast regardless of political talks with Western powers.
“We know the enemy completely and are monitoring its movements. Even now, as political contacts and negotiations are underway, we stand with grandeur and firmness,” he said.
“Whoever dares to engage with Islamic Iran will be shattered.”
Salami stressed that the internal realities of American decline are unaffected by leadership changes in Washington. He claimed that both overt and covert signs of America’s weakening influence are clear and irreversible.
Iran’s Military Power Multiplying, Resistance Axis Unbroken
The general underlined that Iran’s defense power has increased many times over since last year, and that this development is well known to its enemies. He said Iran’s strength is independent of the broader regional resistance alliance but affirmed that the resistance front is capable of striking hard if threatened.
“We do not rely on the resistance front for our defense,” he stated. “But when the resistance is threatened, it acts with strength and decisiveness.”
Rejecting claims that Israel’s military actions have weakened resistance movements in the region, Salami pointed to evidence on the ground:
“The enemies believed that the resistance front had been weakened, but they have seen that Gaza has grown stronger. Yemen is now striking more effectively with missiles, and Hezbollah has restored its power.”
Israel in Collapse Politically, Economically, and Militarily
Turning to the situation of the Israeli regime, Salami offered a grim assessment of its condition, saying the occupying entity is both politically and economically collapsing.
“The Zionist regime is agitated and incensed, and there is no bright horizon for it,” he said.
He referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “a war criminal who fears arrest,” and argued that Israel has lost international legitimacy.
“Politically, Israel has completely collapsed, and even Europe is unwilling to maintain proper political relations with them. Economically, they are disintegrated, and without American assistance, they wouldn’t last a day.”
Yemen’s Missile Strike Signals Broader Resistance Readiness
In a warning to both Israel and the United States, Salami referenced the recent Yemeni missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport, carried out by the Ansarullah movement in retaliation for the war on Gaza.
“Those who could not even withstand a single missile from Yemen’s Ansarullah — what will they do if they are faced with 600 missiles at once?”
This rhetorical question was presented as a challenge and a warning to Iran’s adversaries in the region, reaffirming Iran’s confidence in the military power of both its own forces and its allies across the resistance front. (PW)
