US-Israel Bomb Sana’a Airport Following Strike on Hudaydah Port
The US-Israeli aggressors have launched a brutal wave of airstrikes on Sana'a and Amran in a clear escalation targeting civilian infrastructure and vital facilities in a blatant act of aggression
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The American-Israeli aggressors on Tuesday (May 6) launched a series of intense airstrikes targeting the capital Sana’a and the province of ‘Amran, in a new escalation aimed at civilian infrastructure and vital facilities in Yemen.
Sana’a International Airport Becomes Primary Target
The airstrikes were concentrated on Sana’a International Airport through a series of heavy bombardments, causing damage to the airport. This airport serves as a vital gateway for air navigation in the country.
The strikes also hit the Dhahban Central Power Station in the Bani Al-Harith district of Sana’a, as well as the Hiziyaz Power Station in the southern part of the capital. These direct attacks threaten to worsen the humanitarian crisis by disrupting basic electricity services for civilians.
Aggression Extends to the Province of ‘Amran
The aggression extended to ‘Amran province, where the Amran Cement Factory was targeted by American-Israeli bombardment.
US-Israel Intend to Destroy Yemen’s Economic Lifelines
Targeting factories and economic facilities is part of a broader strategy by the aggressors aimed at destroying Yemen’s national resources and exacerbating the economic suffering of its people.
This time, the Israeli regime issued a warning before launching its attacks — a rare move and the first time they have issued such a warning for Yemen, similar to those previously directed at Lebanon and Gaza.
On Monday, Israel carried out an airstrike on Hudaydah, targeting the main port that serves as a crucial entry point for humanitarian aid into Yemen. (PW)
