US Forced Into Truce With Iran, Yet Entered Talks With Arrogance and Tyranny: Sayyed Houthi
Sayyed al-Houthi says US–Israeli aggression failed, forcing a truce with Iran, while Washington pursued negotiations with arrogance, imposing conditions and achieving nothing
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi stated that the United States and the Israeli enemy were compelled to agree to a truce with the Islamic Republic of Iran after suffering a major failure in achieving their objectives.
In a speech addressing the latest regional developments, he stressed that the US–Israeli aggression against Iran was unjustified and had severe consequences for regional and global stability, including economic repercussions.
He further criticized Washington’s approach to negotiations, describing it as rooted in domination and coercion rather than genuine diplomacy.
US Negotiation Approach Driven by Arrogance
Sayyed al-Houthi condemned the American negotiating framework, stating that it is based on imposing conditions and violating the sovereignty of nations.
He said:
“When the American moved toward negotiations, it did so according to its methodology based on arrogance, pride, and tyranny — on the basis of dictating its conditions, and attempting to obtain through negotiations what it failed to achieve through military aggression.”
According to him, this approach led to the failure of the first round of talks held in Pakistan, as it did not aim for a just resolution but rather for political pressure to secure military gains.
Heavy Losses Forced US Into Truce
The Yemeni leader emphasized that the US and its allies were forced into a truce after sustaining significant human and military losses.
He stated that hundreds of American officers and soldiers were killed or wounded, alongside major losses in military equipment and the destruction of US bases across the region.
“These losses,” he indicated, left the US–Israeli axis with no choice but to shift toward negotiations.
Zionist Project Identified as Root of Regional Instability
In a separate part of his speech, Sayyed al-Houthi described the Zionist project as the primary source of instability in the region, asserting that no lasting peace can be achieved while the occupation of Palestine continues.
He stated:
“The situation of countries and peoples in the region will never be stable until the Jews are driven out of Palestine.”
He further emphasized that the Zionist occupation is the foundation of ongoing conflict, backed historically by Western powers.
Call for Resistance and Unity
Sayyed al-Houthi called on Arab and Muslim nations to adopt a firm stance against the Zionist project and to recognize it as the root cause of regional crises.
He said:
“The Jews will not cease their evil against the nations of this Ummah except through jihad in the path of Allah, and by confronting them to repel their evil and eliminate them.”
He also rejected the labeling of resistance forces as “Iran’s proxies,” describing it as an American-Israeli narrative aimed at stripping the nation of its cause.
“The term ‘agents of Iran’ is an American-Israeli label with objectives — to present the Arabs as a nation with no cause, and to deny them any cause related to their lands, sanctities, and freedom.”
Unity of Fronts Proved Decisive
Highlighting the recent confrontation, Sayyed al-Houthi praised what he described as the effectiveness of unified resistance fronts.
He noted that coordinated action across multiple arenas had a significant impact in confronting US–Israeli aggression, both militarily and morally.
He concluded that unity among the forces of resistance represents a fundamental Islamic principle and a decisive factor in achieving victory. (PW)
