US Aid Centers in Gaza Are “Deadly Traps,” Palestinian Resistance Warns
Factions Accuse Washington of Undermining UNRWA, Advancing Ethnic Cleansing, and Politicizing Humanitarian Aid in Gaza
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Palestinian resistance factions have denounced the so-called "US aid distribution centers" operating in the Gaza Strip, asserting that these sites have become deadly traps for desperate, starving Palestinians.
In a statement issued Sunday, the factions emphasized that the real purpose of these centers is not humanitarian relief but rather a covert effort to dismantle UNRWA, the United Nations agency responsible for Palestinian refugees.
The statement accuses the United States and its Israeli ally of pursuing a larger strategy aimed at forcibly displacing Gaza’s population, executing ethnic cleansing, and erasing the Palestinian cause as a political struggle—reducing it instead to a matter of relief and logistics.
Factions Warn Public: “Don’t Fall for False Promises”
Palestinian factions urged civilians not to fall for the occupation’s false promises, claiming that the real intent behind the aid centers is to draw people away from UNRWA and replace it with a politically compromised alternative.
They called on international legal bodies, Arab organizations, and global justice advocates to hold the US security establishment accountable for its alleged inhumane conduct and hidden agenda in Gaza.
UNRWA is the Only Legitimate Aid Channel
The factions reiterated that UNRWA remains the only organization with the legal mandate, operational experience, and infrastructure to manage aid distribution in Gaza in a way that protects both basic human rights and survival.
They accused the US security network of engaging in suspicious intelligence activities, while over 126 Palestinians have already starved to death due to “Israel’s” ongoing siege.
Resistance groups demanded international pressure on both the Israeli regime and US-backed security actors to restore humanitarian aid under UN supervision, particularly through UNRWA.
Gaza Authorities Support UN-Led Relief Efforts
The Gaza Government Media Office echoed the resistance's call, stressing the crucial role of the United Nations in delivering aid and affirming Gaza's readiness to facilitate and protect UN-led humanitarian missions.
GHF Admits Operational Failure, Casualties Mount at Aid Distribution Points
On June 7, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) officially acknowledged its failure to distribute food to the Palestinian population, citing what it described as "direct threats from Hamas." However, the organization offered no evidence or details to support the allegation.
In its official statement, GHF claimed that security concerns had obstructed the flow of assistance to "hundreds of thousands" of desperate residents.
The group, known to operate under full IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces) coordination, announced it was implementing "operational modifications" and would resume distribution soon.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 110 Palestinians have died and over 1,000 have been injured in incidents linked to GHF-coordinated aid distribution efforts.
Many of the casualties occurred near temporary aid stations in northern and central Gaza, where desperate residents had gathered in hopes of obtaining food amid Israel’s ongoing blockade. (PW)
