Unity Is Our Only Path: Why the Muslim World Must Stand Together Against Injustice
The silence of global leaders in the face of modern atrocities reveals a deeper crisis—one that only true unity among Muslim nations can resolve.
Qom, Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - In 2015, after the horrific terrorist attacks in France that claimed 12 innocent lives, the world watched as global leaders marched hand in hand through the streets of Paris. That iconic image of unity sent a powerful message: terrorism would not divide us, and the world would stand together against violence and hate.
Fast forward to today, and the contrast could not be starker. For over two years, the world has witnessed a full-scale genocide unfold in real time. More than 50,000 people have been killed, including 30,000 women and children. The scale and speed of these atrocities, broadcast in high definition for all to see, are unprecedented—even the darkest figures of history, like Hitler or Genghis Khan, did not carry out such mass killings so openly and so quickly.
Yet, where are the world leaders now? Where are the unity marches, the symbolic gestures, the collective outrage? Instead of condemnation, many Western governments are actively supporting—militarily, politically, and culturally—the very regime responsible for these crimes. In the US and Europe, students who dare to speak out against this genocide face arrest and expulsion. The same leaders who once marched for unity now turn a blind eye, or worse, silence those who demand justice.
But perhaps even more painful is the silence from the leaders of Muslim countries. Fifty nations, bound by shared faith, culture, and geography, have failed to produce even a single photograph of their leaders standing together in solidarity. Two years have passed, and not only is there no united front, but some seem eager to normalize relations with the perpetrators of these atrocities.
Why is this happening? Why does the enemy feel emboldened to commit such crimes? The answer is painfully clear: it is our weakness, the weakness of the Muslim world. Despite our numbers, our vast natural resources, our strategic locations, and our deep motivation for justice, we remain divided. We focus on our differences rather than our shared values and interests.
Unity is not about merging governments or erasing political differences. It is about recognizing our common interests and standing together to defend them. History has shown that unity can achieve miracles. Even now, with only a handful of countries supporting Palestine, the enemy has failed to break the spirit of its people. Imagine what could be accomplished if the entire Muslim world stood as one.
If we want to change the course of history, if we want to protect our people and our values, we must set aside our divisions and unite. Only then can we ensure that no arrogant or aggressive power will ever dominate us again.
There is no other path but unity. The time to join hands is now.(PW)
