Turkish FM Warns of Regional Chaos as ‘Israel’ Seeks Opportunity to Strike Iran
Ankara cautions that Israeli aggression against Iran would ignite wider instability, as Tehran warns the US and the Zionist regime of a decisive and painful response.
Turkey, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has warned that there are clear signs indicating that “Israel” is actively seeking an opportunity to launch a military strike against Iran, a move he said would further destabilize an already volatile region.
“I hope they find a different path, but the reality is that Israel, in particular, is looking for an opportunity to strike Iran,” Fidan said in a televised interview on Friday.
Fidan cautioned that any military action targeting Iran would deepen regional chaos and instability, stressing that Türkiye is closely monitoring developments.
Last week, the Turkish foreign minister reiterated Ankara’s firm opposition to any military intervention against Iran, underlining that preventing further regional destabilization must remain the top priority.
Türkiye Rejects Military Escalation, Pushes Diplomatic Track
Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul, Fidan said Türkiye would intensify its diplomatic efforts regarding Iran, expressing hope that Tehran and Washington could resolve their longstanding differences through dialogue rather than confrontation.
He emphasized that military escalation would only exacerbate tensions across the region, warning that aggressive policies threaten broader regional security.
Ankara’s position comes amid heightened tensions fueled by continued threats and hostile rhetoric from the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.
IRGC Warns US and ‘Israel’: Any Attack Will Be Met With Painful Response
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has issued a stark warning to the United States and the “fake and racist Zionist regime,” declaring that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any act of aggression.
Major General Mohammad Pakpour, chief commander of the IRGC, said Iran’s forces have “their hands on the trigger” and stand ready to act on the orders of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic, Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
“We warn the criminal, evil, and anti-human enemies, particularly the United States and the fake and racist Zionist regime, to learn from historical experience and what they sustained in the 12-day imposed war in June,” Pakpour said. He stressed that any renewed aggression would provoke a “more painful and regret-inducing” response.
Pakpour added that Iran has reinforced its defensive capabilities “more firmly than ever,” citing ongoing hostility from Washington and “Israel.”
The warning follows unrest in Iran in late December, when limited economic protests escalated into violence. Iranian officials said the unrest was hijacked by rioters encouraged by US and Israeli leaders and supported by foreign intelligence networks operating inside the country.
Iranian officials also stated that US President Donald Trump publicly called on armed groups to seize state institutions, while threatening military action if Iranian security forces intervened. (PW)
