Trump Threatens Hormuz Blockade — Iran Fires Back
Tehran rejects Washington’s blockade threats after failed talks, asserting full control over the Strait of Hormuz and warning of decisive consequences for any escalation.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Iran has issued a forceful and unified response after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose a naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz in the wake of failed negotiations, declaring that such actions are doomed to fail just like previous American attempts.
Senior Iranian political and military leaders made it clear that such threats are futile, emphasizing that the strategic waterway remains firmly under Iran’s control and warning that any attempt to challenge this reality will be met with decisive action.
Ghalibaf: Trump Will Sink in the Swamp of Oil Prices
In response, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, published an image showing the latest gasoline prices at fuel stations surrounding the White House.
In a message addressed to Americans on social media, he wrote:
“Enjoy the current price of gasoline. With the so-called ‘blockade,’ you will soon long for gasoline at 4 to 5 dollars.”
Ghalibaf also presented a new equation illustrating rising oil prices, showing that re-closing the Strait of Hormuz would trigger even greater increases, and that Trump will sink deeper into the swamp of oil prices he himself created.
Velayati: The Key to Hormuz Is in Our Powerful Hands
Senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, affirmed that “the key to the Strait of Hormuz today is in the hands of Iran.”
Responding to Trump’s threats, he said:
“Just as the ‘Strait of Abu al-Hayat’ throughout history symbolized blocking the path of foreigners in the heart of our land, today the key to the Strait of Hormuz is in our powerful hands.”
Mohsen Rezaei: The Blockade Will Fail
Member of the Expediency Discernment Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, affirmed that “the United States will fail in any attempt to impose a naval blockade, just as it failed in its efforts related to the Strait of Hormuz.”
He said:
“Our forces will not allow any American blockade and possess the means to confront it,” stressing that “Iran is not a field where a blockade can be imposed through statements or imaginary plans.”He added:
“Just as America suffered a historic defeat against Iran in its attempt to open the Strait of Hormuz, it is also destined to fail in the naval blockade project.”
Ministry of Defense: Hormuz Will Remain in Iran’s Hands Forever
Iran’s Ministry of Defense issued a statement affirming that the management of the Strait of Hormuz will remain in the hands of Iran and the region forever.
It stated:
“The enemy has not and will not be able to overthrow our system, dismantle our country, or control the Strait of Hormuz.”
Admiral Irani: A Ridiculous Threat
Commander of the Iranian Navy, Admiral Shahram Irani, mocked the new threat by the U.S. president, affirming that “the brave naval forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are monitoring all movements of the U.S. military in the region.”
“The threats of the U.S. president to impose a naval blockade on Iran, after the crushing defeat suffered by its army in the third imposed war, are laughable,” he said.
IRGC: We Will Respond Firmly
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned U.S. forces against approaching the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that this would be considered a violation of the ceasefire.
The IRGC Public Relations stated: “Contrary to the false claims of some enemy officials, the Strait of Hormuz is under precise monitoring and management, and remains open to civilian vessels without harm, in accordance with relevant regulations.”
It added, “Any military vessel attempting to approach the Strait of Hormuz under any pretext or designation will be dealt with firmly.”
Qaani: They Will Leave
Commander of the Quds Force, Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, stressed that “the unified Resistance front is present across the region with strength and effectiveness, and is watching the enemies of humanity.”
America and the zionist regime will leave the region without any achievements.
The unified resistance front has a powerful and effective presence throughout the entire region and is waiting for the enemies of humanity.
America and the zionist regime should remember how they fled empty-handed from heroic Yemen, the Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea.
Now, too, they will leave the region without any achievements.
A Unified Message: Threats Will Fail
Across political, military, and strategic levels, Iran’s message was clear:
the Strait of Hormuz remains under its control, and any attempt to impose a blockade will end in failure.
Officials emphasized that the waterway remains open to civilian navigation under Iranian supervision, while warning that any military escalation or violation will be met with firm and decisive action. (PW)
