Washington, Nov 4 — In a move that has sent shockwaves through the Zionist defence establishment, US President Donald Trump announced on Election Day that Washington will terminate its roughly $4 billion in annual military aid to ‘Israel’ by the end of 2026. While framed as a financial cutoff, analysts point out that the manoeuvre signals a deeper, structural integration of the US and Zionist military-industrial complexes.
Speaking to Fox News on November 3, Trump claimed the decision was made months ago in agreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, arguing that the Israeli occupation regime is now sufficiently prosperous to finance its own military campaigns. “They don’t need it,” Trump said. He added that ending the direct cash transfers would eliminate a “bad talking point” for critics of US imperialism, specifically referencing Abdul El-Sayed, a progressive Democratic candidate in Michigan who has heavily campaigned on cutting off unconditional military support for the Zionist entity.
Tel Aviv Blindsided
Despite Trump’s claims of a mutual agreement, the announcement caught Zionist military and defense officials completely off guard. According to reports from Israeli media outlet Kan 11, defense officials were not informed through standard diplomatic channels prior to the announcement. “We didn’t expect this statement... We have regular dialogue with the Americans; you could say we were surprised,” one unnamed defence official admitted.
The sudden declaration threatens to upend the 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in 2016, which guarantees $3.8 billion in annual military assistance through 2028. Netanyahu recently hinted at the impending shift, warning his cabinet that “America has changed” and that the era of tens of billions in American aid for their defence budget was coming to an end.
From Foreign Aid to Military Merger
However, the cessation of direct financial transfers does not represent an American withdrawal from West Asia, nor a severing of ties with the Zionist entity. Instead, it marks a strategic pivot toward the full institutionalisation of a joint US-Zionist war machine.
In May 2026, Washington and Tel Aviv began negotiating a new framework designed to replace traditional aid packages with joint investments in military research, weapons production, and advanced defence technologies. This shift is being legally codified in the US fiscal year 2027 National Defence Authorisation Act (NDAA).
Under provisions such as Section 224 of the NDAA—the “United States–Israel Defence Technology Cooperation Initiative”—the two regimes are set to institutionalise bilateral cooperation in weapons co-production, licensing agreements, and joint military testing. Effectively, this legislates a “merger” of the US and Zionist defence industries, binding their procurement systems and ensuring that ‘Israel’ remains an entrenched, co-funded forward operating base for American military hegemony in the region.
Recent bipartisan efforts in the US Congress by Representatives Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna to block this military integration were swiftly shut down by the Washington establishment. This proves that while the American public is increasingly hostile to bankrolling Zionist atrocities, the imperial war machine is merely changing its financial accounting methods.
By forcing the Zionist entity to purchase American weapons with its own capital, Washington ensures the continued profitability of its defence contractors while shielding the military alliance from the growing domestic political liabilities associated with direct foreign aid.
