Top Iranian Generals Reaffirm Military Readiness in High-Level Meeting
Chief of Staff Mousavi and IRGC Commander Pakpour highlight unity, deterrence, and defense modernization as cornerstones of Iran’s security strategy.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Iran’s senior military leaders underscored the country’s full readiness to counter any threat or aggression, stressing unity, deterrence, and the protection of revolutionary ideals during a high-level meeting in Tehran.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Major General Mohammad Hossein Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, met with Major General Mohammad Pakpour, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), to review defense capabilities and strategies.
Mousavi: Armed Forces Ready to Confront Aggression
During the talks, Major General Mousavi highlighted the Armed Forces’ major victories and achievements, particularly those of the IRGC and Basij, as evidence of the effectiveness of an “active deterrence strategy” combined with powerful, bold, and decisive responses to threats.
He stated that Iran’s defense systems and equipment have seen steady reinforcement, modernization, and upgrading, noting:
“The Armed Forces are fully prepared to confront, with power and authority, any threats or potential acts of aggression.”
Mousavi further emphasized that unity between the Army and the IRGC is central to defeating enemies, protecting independence, ensuring national security, safeguarding territorial integrity, and preserving the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
Pakpour: IRGC at the Forefront of Iran’s Defense Doctrine
For his part, IRGC Commander Major General Pakpour stressed that the IRGC stands on the frontlines of implementing Iran’s defense doctrine.
He asserted that the Guard Corps is fully prepared for decisive, swift, and instructive responses to any threats or adventurism by enemies.
As an example, he cited the defeat inflicted upon the “Zionist enemy and the United States” during the 12-day Sacred Defense operation, an event witnessed globally.
Pakpour emphasized that the IRGC’s mission extends beyond defending borders and national security, defining its strategic duty as safeguarding the ideals of the Islamic Revolution itself.

The meeting highlighted Iran’s focus on deterrence and readiness as the backbone of its defense strategy.
