Top Cleric Accuses World Leaders of Complicity in Gaza "Genocide" Through Silence
Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari condemns the inaction of Islamic nations and the support of the United States, urging a unified front to aid the Palestinian people.
Qom, PUREWILAYAH.COM - A senior Iranian cleric has fiercely condemned the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, labelling them a "genocide" that is allowed to continue due to the silence of global leaders and the active support of the United States.
Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, who serves as the Head of the Committee to Support the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People, asserted that the Palestinian cause remains a core issue for the Islamic world and a steadfast priority for Iran.
"The Islamic Revolution considers itself committed to supporting the Palestinian people in all circumstances, and the liberation of Al-Quds Al-Sharif is always among our top priorities," he stated in an interview with Hawzah News Agency.
Akhtari described the events of the past two years in Gaza as a stark revelation of what he called "the child-killing, usurping, and criminal nature of the Zionist regime." He argued that backing from the U.S. and Europe has only served to intensify the violence against civilians.
The cleric placed significant blame on the "silence and passivity of the leaders of Islamic countries" for the continuation of the conflict. He issued a strong call for Muslim nations to "enter the field with force" and deliver all possible support to the people of Gaza.
He expressed his hope that the "courageous and powerful" Palestinian resistance would soon achieve the liberation of Jerusalem. Akhtari concluded with a powerful message, stating that if the global Muslim community were to unite and realise its collective strength, "the fall of the Zionist regime will come sooner than expected."
