In the face of relentless oppression and imperialist arrogance, the unwavering spirit of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) continues to serve as a beacon of resistance. Following Friday prayers at the Fagge Mosque in Kano, a prominent voice of the movement delivered a profound reminder of the Ummah’s current historical turning point.
Sheikh Sanusi Abdulqadir, a representative of the followers of the Islamic Movement, addressed the faithful with a special message directed toward the devoted students and supporters of the imprisoned leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky (may Allah protect him). Examining the sensitive conditions of the Islamic world, the Sheikh declared that the current era is not one of despair, but rather a defining “time of hope, dignity, and waiting for victory.”
Addressing the responsibilities of those who follow the pure school of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), Sheikh Abdulqadir emphasised that anyone striving for the realisation and governance of Divine religion must step onto the path of truth and Islamic ideals with absolute strength. He reminded the congregation that global conditions are never static; every era demands its own specific response. Therefore, true believers must fulfil their divine responsibilities with heightened awareness, unwavering patience, and deep perseverance.
Crucially, the cleric dismantled the hollow narrative of global hegemony propagated by the forces of Istikbar (global arrogance). Directly addressing the so-called superiority of the United States and the illegitimate Zionist regime, Sheikh Abdulqadir stated, “The extensive propaganda of the power of America and the Zionist regime and their superiority cannot hide the existing realities.”
He noted that the mask of Western imperialism is slipping. The inherent weaknesses and moral decay of these oppressive regimes have become glaringly obvious to the world. As the facade of American and Zionist supremacy shatters, the faithful are called to hold fast to the truth and trust in the ultimate promise of divine victory. The time of waiting is an active one—a steadfast, dignified march toward the inevitable triumph of justice over tyranny.
