“This Is Our Game”: Yemen Stands Firm Amid US-Israeli Aggression
As airstrikes rain down on Sana’a and ‘Amran, Yemen’s leaders and people vow defiance — pledging retaliation for the aggression and standing resolute in solidarity with Gaza.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Amid a rain of missiles and bombs from Israeli and American warplanes, senior Yemeni officials, from a nation long plagued by war and blockade, reaffirmed their unwavering stance in defense of Gaza and Palestine.
In the latest US-Israeli strike, Sana’a International Airport became the primary target. More than 20 airstrikes were launched at the runway, passenger terminal, civilian aircraft, and various essential service facilities.
Coordinated Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure
Today’s brutal US-Israeli aggression did not only strike Yemen’s main airport. American-Israeli fighter jets also targeted other vital facilities:
The Dhahban Central Power Station in Bani Al-Harith,
The Amran Cement Factory in Amran Province,
The Haiz Power Station in southern Sana’a,
As well as oil facilities and fuel storage centers in more than 10 other locations.
Al-Masirah reported that the targeting of factories and economic facilities is part of an aggression strategy aimed at destroying the resources of the Yemeni people and worsening their economic suffering.
This is not a conventional military operation—it is a systematic war against a nation that has lived for years under siege, impoverishment, and silencing.
Ansarallah: "We Will Set the Rules of Engagement"
In response to these attacks, defiance came from Ansarallah’s top ranks. In an interview with Al-Arabi, Mohammad Al-Bukhaiti, a member and spokesman of Ansarallah’s Political Bureau, asserted Yemen’s position with a series of unambiguous statements:
"We will not allow Israelis to impose equations, and we will be the ones to set equations. The Zionist entity is trying to set new equations from Lebanon to Yemen, and show a different face of the region,” he stated.
Bukhaiti emphasized that escalation will be met with escalation, and that Yemen has many Zionist sites that have not yet been targeted.
"Our battle with the United States, the UK, and Israel will continue until the aggression against Gaza stops."
Meanwhile, Hezam al-Assad, a senior Yemeni official, described the recent airstrikes as “a despicable crime” and vowed that the blood of civilians would fuel a “harsh and shocking” response.
Ali Al-Qhoom, a member of Ansarallah’s Political Bureau, warned that any aggression against Yemen would “bring calamity upon the Zionists.”
“We Have Long Surpassed the Breaking Point”
Reflecting Yemen’s unwavering stance in solidarity with Gaza, a Yemeni activist and journalist wrote on his Telegram channel:
“We have long surpassed the breaking point. Nothing terrifies us now but the horrors of Judgment Day.
The Port of Hudaydah? It has been bombed 15 times during the Saudi aggression. It was even rendered inoperable for 18 months. Even the UN had to admit it—though their reports were polished and sanitized.
No salaries for 9 years. No public electricity for 7. Yemen has already endured 6 years under a suffocating blockade, and 4 more merely surviving. No healthcare. No social security. No rights (due to the world’s indifference).
This has been our reality since we first opened our eyes to this world,” he said. “What the world calls a ‘humanitarian disaster’ is just an ordinary day in Yemen.”
Dr. Hesham Shehari, the activist, emphasized that no matter what lies ahead, the Yemeni people will remain steadfast in defending Palestine, because it is their religious and moral duty.
“Yes, we are already at the peak of the arc. Maybe the trumpet of the Last Day will blow tomorrow—and we’ll still think it’s just another crisis. Israel bombed Hudaydah’s port and the cement factory in Bajil. Should I care? Of course not. No one does. Not even you,” he declared, stressing that Yemen has become experienced in all of this.
He then asserted that it is Israel who will soon be forced to learn a bitter lesson for its attack on Yemen. In a direct and ominous warning to Tel Aviv, the activist wrote:
"And do you know who’s about to gain an experience? The Israelis. They’re in for a long journey of caring. A long list of ports, facilities, and “interests” awaits them...... What you (Israel & allies) just did—in chess, it’s called a fool's move. And this... is our game.”
Warnings Circulate on Social Media
Shortly after, flyers circulated across various social media platforms, reportedly linked to Yemen. The message in these flyers read:
“Expect a surprise at the Port of Haifa.”
“Ammonia tanks have a date with Yemen.”
These statements were viewed as direct threats to Israel’s sensitive infrastructure. The Port of Haifa is the largest and busiest port in the occupied territory, and its ammonia tanks are known to be among the region’s highest-risk facilities.
The threat signals that Yemen is not merely reacting to aggression, but is also capable of threatening its enemies’ strategic interests with troubling precision.
In addition, an animated image published by Yemeni media depicted a Yemeni dagger striking an Israeli airport, captioned: “Even your escape route won’t be safe.” This message was seen as reflecting the Yemeni people’s unshakable resolve.
As of now, however, no official statements have been made by Ansarallah leaders regarding where and which targets they intend to strike in retaliation for these heinous crimes by the US and Israel. (PW)
