"They Will Not Succeed": Erdogan Vows to Fight Israel's Plot to Erase Palestine From Humanity’s Agenda
Hosting Mahmoud Abbas in Ankara, the Turkish President exposes Netanyahu’s strategy to exploit regional chaos while reaffirming support for Palestinian statehood.
In a stark condemnation of the Zionist regime’s genocidal war and ongoing land theft, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has accused Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately engineering regional chaos to erase the Palestinian cause from the global consciousness.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Ankara alongside Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday, Erdoğan laid bare the desperate and cynical strategy driving the Israeli occupation.
“The aim of the Netanyahu government is to remove Palestine from the common agenda of humanity by profiting from chaos and new conflicts in the region,” Erdoğan declared, before delivering a sharp warning to Tel Aviv: “They will not succeed.”
Exposing the Zionist Playbook
The Turkish President’s remarks cut to the core of Israel’s current operational doctrine: a strategy of perpetual escalation designed to divert international outrage away from its systematic dismantling of Palestinian society. By expanding its aggression into Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, the Zionist entity has sought to normalise its crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, hoping that a wider regional war will allow it to permanently displace Palestinians while the world looks elsewhere.
Erdoğan condemned Israel’s continued unlawful actions, land seizures, and provocations in the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, specifically highlighting the regime’s relentless attacks on the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic and Christian holy sites.
The Push for a Sovereign State
Reaffirming Ankara’s official stance, Erdoğan stated that Türkiye would “resolutely” work for a sovereign, geographically contiguous Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the 1967 borders. He stressed that the international community cannot afford to remain indifferent as the very existence of a Palestinian state is actively undermined by Zionist expansionism.
“Supporting Palestine is a shared responsibility of all humanity, particularly the Muslim world,” Erdoğan said, emphasising the urgent need to establish conditions for the reconstruction of Gaza, which has been reduced to rubble by US-supplied munitions.
The Mecca Agreement and Regional Security
For his part, Mahmoud Abbas thanked Türkiye for its continued diplomatic support, describing the recently signed Mecca Joint Defence Agreement between Arab states as “very important.” Abbas expressed hope that the agreement would serve as a starting point for broader regional stability and security, hinting at a potential unified front against further Israeli aggression.
While Ankara’s support for the Palestinian cause remains vocal, Erdoğan’s sharp critique of Netanyahu’s strategy highlights a critical truth: the Zionist regime relies on perpetual war and engineered chaos to avoid accountability for its apartheid and ethnic cleansing. Whether the Muslim world and the broader international community possess the unity and resolve to thwart Netanyahu’s plan to erase Palestine from humanity’s agenda remains the defining test of the era.
