Three years have passed since the historic Al-Aqsa Flood operation, a defining moment that forever altered the geopolitical landscape of West Asia. In the immediate aftermath of that October 7 uprising, the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may Allah elevate his noble station), delivered a profound assessment that the arrogant powers of the world desperately tried to ignore.
On October 10, 2023, the Martyred Imam declared the condition of the Zionist regime to be “irreparable.”
He described a devastating defeat that had inflicted structural damage on the regime’s military, security, and intelligence apparatuses—damage so severe that no amount of Western backing or internal commotion could easily fix it.
“I would like to say that after Saturday, October 7, the Zionist regime will no longer be the regime it used to be, and they cannot easily compensate for the blow that has struck them,” he stated.
Today, as we mark the third anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood, the prophetic clarity of his words is undeniable. The question we must ask is no longer if the regime was damaged, but whether it was ever truly repaired. The signs confirm the Martyred Leader’s vision: what began as a security breach in Gaza has cascaded into a total systemic failure, shattering the myth of the “invincible Israel” across political, social, and regional spheres.
The Death of the “Invincible” Narrative
Before Al-Aqsa Flood, the Zionist regime projected an image of absolute security and impenetrability. It claimed that its sophisticated intelligence networks saw everything and controlled every variable. Operation Al-Aqsa Flood didn’t just breach physical borders; it shattered the psychological foundation of the regime’s existence. The resistance bypassed the supposedly impenetrable security fences, catching the occupiers entirely off guard and proving that divine reliance and revolutionary will can dismantle the most arrogant of technological fortresses.
Internal Collapse: The Defeat Behind the Walls
Perhaps the most profound dimension of this irreparable defeat is occurring within the society of the occupiers themselves. A regime that once marketed “security” as its primary guarantee for its settlers is now drowning in internal crises. Deep political polarisation, massive social protests, a collapsing economy, and a catastrophic loss of public trust have hollowed out the regime from the inside. The walls built to keep Palestinians out have instead become the walls of a prison for a terrified, fracturing society.
The World Awakens to Palestine
The Martyred Leader’s insight extended beyond military tactics; he understood the tectonic shift in global consciousness. Today, the ideology of resistance is no longer confined to the battlefields of Gaza or Lebanon. From the universities of the West to the streets of Europe and the halls of international law, Palestine has become an inescapable global reality. The illegitimate security walls, heavily subsidised by imperialist and colonial powers, have failed to erase the historical reality of Palestine or silence the cries of the oppressed.
As we reflect on the immense legacy of our Martyred Leader, his timeless words, spoken just weeks after the dawn of Al-Aqsa Flood, continue to guide the Ummah toward ultimate victory:
“The future world belongs to Palestine. It does not belong to the usurping Zionist regime.”
The regime’s wounds are indeed irreparable. The dawn of liberation, by the grace of Allah and the blood of the martyrs, is closer than the Zionists could ever imagine.
