Tehran — In a powerful, dual-mandate message marking Government Week, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, laid out the unshakeable foundations of the Iranian home front, declaring national unity and economic self-reliance as the ultimate weapons against the psychological and economic warfare waged by US-Zionist hegemony.
Addressing the nation and state officials, the Leader issued a categorical red line against the enemy’s efforts to fracture the revolutionary base: “I categorically declare that committing any act that harms social cohesion is prohibited.”
Shattering the Enemy’s False Dichotomies
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that preserving national unity is not merely a political preference, but a fundamental religious and strategic obligation. He cautioned President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration and all state institutions that every cultural, political, security, and economic measure must be strictly weighed by its impact on the unity of the masses.
The Leader sharply condemned elements—often echoing the enemy’s “soft war” agenda—who seek to divide the ranks of the Resistance through despair and manufactured divisions. He explicitly rejected the fabricated binaries pushed by defeatists and liberals, such as “war or negotiations,” “consensus or extremism,” and “compromise or warmongering.” Furthermore, he warned against voices that weaken public motivation, noting that policies which appear to favour one segment of society but ultimately fracture national cohesion will end up harming the entire nation. In the battle against Global Arrogance, the ranks of the people must remain impenetrable.
The Economic Front: De-Dollarisation and Domestic Fortitude
Transitioning to the economic battlefield, the Leader hailed the “true mettle” of the dear Iranian nation, who have stood firm against US-Israeli aggression and the suffocating imperialist blockade over the past six months. He commended the current administration for its steadfast service to the people amidst the siege but emphasised that the key to dismantling the enemy’s economic leverage lies entirely within Iran’s borders.
To neutralise the effects of the sanctions, Ayatollah Khamenei outlined a strict “Resistance Economy” doctrine:
Absolute Reliance on Domestic Production: The definitive solution to livelihood challenges—such as inflation and unemployment—is the maximisation of local manufacturing. Imports must be strictly limited and utilised wisely only when domestic capacity is genuinely insufficient.
Eradicating Dollar Hegemony: A decisive, gradual phasing out of the US dollar from financial transactions, striking a fatal blow to the primary mechanism of American financial imperialism.
Strategic National Investment: Channelling capital into productive, vital sectors to ensure sustainable growth, while actively managing prices to protect the livelihoods of the working classes.
A Unified Front Against Imperialism
The Supreme Leader’s message makes it unequivocally clear: the US and its Zionist proxies will not be permitted to divide the Iranian people politically or bankrupt them economically.
