TEHRAN — Coinciding with the sorrowful days marking the martyrdom anniversary of the Master and Lady of the women of Paradise, Lady Siddiqah Tahirah Fatimah Zahra (SA), the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a profound message on October 26, 2026. Addressed to Iran’s scientific, athletic, and moral elites, the message outlines a comprehensive “Fatimi roadmap” for the revolutionary nation, intertwining the defence of Wilayah with the pursuit of absolute scientific and societal self-reliance.
The Fatimi Role Model and the Defence of Wilayah
Opening his message, the Leader paid deep tribute to Lady Fatima Zahra (SA), noting that her exact time of martyrdom and hidden resting place reflect a status beyond human comprehension. He highlighted her as the supreme exemplar of worship, the closest companion to the Noble Prophet (S), and, most crucially, the “valiant defender of the Wilayah of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (AS).”
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasised that a society modelled after Lady Fatima (SA) naturally produces a revolutionary Muslim nation capable of great social movements, steadfastness in the arenas of jihad, and humble service to the people. Her life serves as the ultimate blueprint for acquiring knowledge, standing firm for the truth, and practising selfless sacrifice.
Redefining “Eliteness”: Insight, Jihad, and Sacrifice
Describing Iran as a global manifestation of determination and hope, the Leader radically expanded the definition of an “elite.” He stressed that eliteness is not confined merely to science, technology, or sports, but encompasses any positive, desirable distinction that elevates the sacred flag of the homeland.
In a powerful statement, Ayatollah Khamenei cited ordinary yet extraordinary heroes like Rizali Khajavi and Ali Landi as prime examples of the “elite in insight and jihad,” declaring that their names deserve to be inscribed above the entrances of the nation’s cultural institutions. He further elevated the status of the martyrs and self-sacrificing individuals who have shaped the fate of Islamic Iran, calling them the truest elites who have received the ultimate medal of servitude from the One God.
Gratitude Through Action: Scientific Supremacy and Problem-Solving
Framing talent and intellectual ability as a profound divine gift, the Leader stressed that the dictate of reason and servitude to God requires expressing gratitude through action. An elite is not someone who isolates themselves to pursue fleeting personal desires; rather, they are an effective member of society who uses their potential to resolve the nation’s most pressing challenges.
The Leader praised the Iranian elites for transforming knowledge into practical power to break the monopolies of Global Arrogance. He highlighted groundbreaking advancements in stem cell research, nanotechnology, biotechnology, aerospace, nuclear energy, and vital infrastructure. By mastering these fields, the youth are turning science into a tool for societal upliftment and national independence.
Athletic Valour and the Global Shine of the Islamic Hijab
The message also extended deep appreciation to Iran’s hardworking athletes who have recently broken records and secured championships. The Leader specifically commended the female athletes of the Islamic Republic, noting that they brilliantly make “the honourable symbol of the Iranian women’s attire shine before the world.” Through their physical strength, moral fortitude, and profound faith, these athletes bring joy to the nation and project the vibrant, unyielding nature of the Iranian people onto the global stage.
A Unified Academic and Spiritual Awakening
Marking the beginning of the academic season—a time of cheerfulness and renewed focus in universities, schools, and the Islamic seminaries (Hawzas)—the Leader called upon parents, teachers, and the national system to cultivate the divine blessing of talent.
Congratulating the medalists across diverse fields—from Olympiads in astronomy, astrophysics, AI, and the humanities to the sporting arenas—Ayatollah Khamenei described the motivation of Iran’s youth as a “bright flame.” This tremendous, hope-inspiring movement, he concluded, is the engine driving the caravan of honour toward the ultimate vision of an ever-stronger, independent, and Fatimi Islamic Iran.
