Ten Martyred in Renewed Israeli Aggression Across South Lebanon
Israeli airstrikes, artillery shelling, and drone attacks killed ten people, including children. The occupation intensified its violations of the ceasefire across southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley
Beirut, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Ten people were martyred on Friday in a new wave of Israeli aggression targeting southern Lebanon, as occupation forces intensified airstrikes, artillery shelling, and drone attacks across multiple districts, including Sidon, Nabatieh, Tyre, and the Bekaa Valley.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health confirmed that civilians, including children, were among those killed in the attacks.
In the town of Anqoun in the Sidon district, two people were martyred and another was injured in an Israeli airstrike. In Zrariyeh, three people, including two children, were martyred. In Mefdoun, in the Nabatieh district, one person was martyred and four others, including a woman, were injured.
Israeli Airstrikes and Shelling Intensify
Israeli warplanes carried out repeated strikes on Mefdoun and launched fresh raids on Deir al-Zahrani.
Artillery shelling also targeted Mefdoun, Jebchit, and areas surrounding the city of Nabatieh. Additional bombardment struck Shoukin and nearby outskirts.
In the Tyre district, Israeli artillery hit several areas as occupation warplanes expanded their operations across more than 35 towns in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.
Hezbollah Continues Resistance Operations
Al Mayadeen reported that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon targeted an Israeli force attempting to advance from Wadi Raj toward the eastern bank of the Zawtar River.
Resistance fighters also struck an Israeli tank in the Bidar al-Faqani neighborhood of Taybeh, while rocket fire targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation forces in the central sector of southern Lebanon.
Israeli troops operating in the south have repeatedly come under attack from explosive drones, including systems designed to evade electronic countermeasures, highlighting Hezbollah’s continued technological adaptation despite sustained Israeli strikes.
Widespread Destruction Across Border Communities
Israeli drones, warplanes, and artillery also targeted Zrariyeh, Arab al-Jal, Kfar Tebnit, Haboush, Jebchit, Deir Antar, Sultaniyeh, Haris, Hadatha, and the outskirts of Bint Jbeil.
Bombing and demolition operations continued in border towns such as Khiam and Bint Jbeil, adding to the extensive destruction inflicted on civilian areas.
The latest escalation comes amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire and continued military aggression against southern Lebanon, including the enforcement of the so-called “yellow line,” which affects dozens of border communities. (PW)
