Tehran Slams US Contradictions as Psychological Warfare
Baghaei criticized the United States for its contradictory and unreliable statements. He emphasized that such contradictions are part of psychological warfare directed at Iran
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei criticized the United States for its contradictory and unreliable statements. During his weekly press briefing on Monday, Baghaei emphasized that such contradictions are part of psychological warfare directed at Iran.
He also strongly condemned "US President Donald Trump's ridiculous and insulting statements against Iranian leaders," adding that these remarks deeply offend millions of Iranians and Muslims across the region.
Baghaei warned that this rhetoric would only fuel further resentment toward the United States in the Islamic world.
Legal action against Israeli aggression
The Iranian official reaffirmed that the recent Israeli aggression against Iran was unprovoked and baseless, stating that the Iranian Foreign Ministry has initiated legal procedures with the United Nations and the Security Council to hold "Israel" accountable.
A legal committee has been established in Tehran to prepare official reports documenting the aggression, the damages inflicted on Iranian facilities, and the clear violations of international law committed by the occupation entity.
The Iranian spokesperson condemned the positions taken by Germany and France regarding the aggression against Iran, accusing Germany of reviving the "racist rhetoric" of Hitler and labeling its stance a "historical and eternal shame."
Baghaei urged the German public and the international community to reject such language and to hold their government accountable for its alignment with unjust policies.
Iran defends nuclear rights amid IAEA tensions
Addressing nuclear policy, Baghaei stressed Iran's right to pursue peaceful nuclear activities as long as it remains committed to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), criticizing the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for its demands and lack of condemnation over the attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.
He pointed out that any suspension of cooperation with the IAEA is based on parliamentary decisions and subject to specific conditions.
Under current circumstances, he said, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi must clarify how Iran can cooperate without guaranteed protection of its nuclear infrastructure.
Baghaei concluded that the IAEA must operate within the boundaries of its legal framework and resist political pressure, emphasizing that Iran will not cooperate with an agency that appears to justify attacks on its sovereign facilities. (PW)
