TEHRAN — The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, met with Iran’s Judiciary Chief, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, to discuss comprehensive reforms aimed at strengthening the justice system, eradicating corruption, and accelerating the enforcement of court rulings.
During the high-level meeting, Sayyed Khamenei emphasised the importance of bolstering the judiciary’s social capital by broadening the reach of justice and firmly safeguarding public rights. The discussions centred on removing systemic obstacles to the fight against corruption, confronting corrupt elements effectively, and ensuring that court verdicts act as swift deterrents.
A Comprehensive Digital Transformation
Sayyed Khamenei called for a tangible, comprehensive overhaul of the judicial system. This includes leveraging modern technologies for monitoring legal compliance, stepping up institutional oversight, and closing any loopholes that may contribute to criminal activities. Firm plans to combat crime and coordinate with relevant bodies to address underlying violations were strongly underscored.
Furthermore, the Leader stressed the critical need to recover rights and secure compensation for the material and moral damages inflicted upon Iran by US-Zionist crimes.
At the start of the meeting, Judiciary Chief Mohseni-Ejei briefed the Supreme Leader on the strategic plans for his new term. These initiatives include an update to the Judicial Transformation Document and an accelerated push for digital transformation. This technological shift aims to drastically reduce case processing times, lower operating costs, and ensure the immediate enforcement of rulings. Additionally, the plans include improved healthcare provisions for judiciary staff.
Strengthening National Cohesion Amid Aggression
The push for internal institutional reform comes as Iran faces escalating threats from the US and the Zionist regime. The leadership continues to emphasise national cohesion and structural efficiency as pillars of resistance.
In a separate but related meeting, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei met with Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to discuss the ongoing military, economic, and cognitive warfare waged by the US-Zionist enemy against the Islamic Republic. That meeting highlighted the necessity of fortifying Iran’s national capabilities, enhancing the active role of lawmakers in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and sustaining the conscious, deterrent presence of the Iranian people.
Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf also briefed the Supreme Leader on legislative activities since the outbreak of what Tehran refers to as the “third imposed war,” outlining current and future strategies to navigate domestic challenges and advance ties with strategic partners.
Sayyed Khamenei has repeatedly called for robust cooperation between the government and the parliament to tackle economic hurdles, curb inflation, combat corruption, and rein in the rising cost of living, ensuring the Islamic Republic remains resilient against external pressures.
