ALI PUR, KARNATAKA — In a powerful display of religious solidarity and revolutionary commitment, more than 100 prominent scholars, preachers, and congregational prayer leaders from across South India gathered in the historic town of Ali Pur for a major conference. Held in solemn conjunction with the Fatimiyyah Days, the gathering served as both a period of mourning for the Lady of Light, Sayyida Fatima Zahra (SA), and a profound tribute to the enduring legacy of the Martyred Leader, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
Operating under the spiritual patronage of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Maulana Muhammad Zaki Baqri and organised by the Al-Balagh Foundation, the conference centred around the theme: “The Services of the Martyred Leader.” Attendees meticulously analysed his intellectual, political, and spiritual contributions, holding up his life as the ultimate blueprint for modern Islamic leadership, insight, and perseverance against global arrogance.
Addressing the assembly, Maulana Muhammad Zaki Baqri illuminated the religious and revolutionary struggles of the Martyred Leader. He urged the gathered scholars to view their roles not as mere titles, but as heavy responsibilities requiring unwavering faith and a readiness to sacrifice for the truth.
This sentiment was deeply echoed by Maulana Sayyid Nazar Abbas, the South India representative based in Iran. He reminded the audience that true leadership is a “divine trust” (Amanah). “When leaders and scholars regard their responsibilities as a sacred trust from Allah, their service transcends borders and reaches across the world,” he stated, pointing to the Martyred Leader’s life as the living embodiment of this principle.
The conference also featured a strong international presence, including Maulana Sayyid Muhammad Abbas Abidi from the UK, Maulana Sayyid Adeel Raza Abidi from Tanzania, and Maulana Sheikh Abid, representative of Ayatollah Yaqoubi. Maulana Sayyid Ali Raza highlighted the Islamic Republic of Iran’s formidable defence capabilities and regional self-confidence, framing them as direct outcomes of a society anchored in Wilayah and guided by revolutionary principles.
Beyond the ideological discussions, the scholars engaged in critical grassroots strategy sessions. Regional preachers presented the academic, social, and organisational challenges they face in their local communities. The leadership of the Al-Balagh Foundation, including President Maulana Dalawar Hussain and Secretary Maulana Mudabbir Hussain, listened attentively, pledging ongoing support to fortify religious outreach networks and strengthen unity among the Ummah.
As the conference drew to a close, the scholars collectively reaffirmed their covenant to carry forward the mission of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and the Islamic Revolution. The proceedings concluded with a unifying prayer led by Maulana Zaki Baqri and the recitation of Surah Al-Asr—a timeless reminder of the necessity of faith, righteous action, and mutual exhortation to truth and patience on the path of Wilayah.
