Six Palestinians Martyred in New Wave of Israeli Attacks on Gaza
Occupation Forces Intensify Shelling, Airstrikes, and Home Demolitions Across the Strip
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — At least six Palestinian civilians were martyred and nearly 20 others injured over the past 24 hours in a series of Israeli attacks carried out across the Gaza Strip, as the occupation continues its escalating campaign of shelling, airstrikes, and systematic home demolitions.
The assaults targeted neighborhoods both near and far from the so-called “Yellow Line,” expanding the scope of aggression against densely populated civilian areas.
Artillery Shelling Hits Homes and Schools in Gaza City
Civil Defense teams reported recovering the bodies of two martyrs and rescuing 15 wounded after Israeli artillery struck the home of the al-Sakhni family near al-Sanafor junction in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Additional injuries were reported following an attack on the al-Daraj school in the same area, underscoring the continued targeting of civilian and educational facilities.
Earlier in the day, a Palestinian civilian was martyred by Israeli gunfire in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood. The occupation forces also detonated several residential buildings in al-Tuffah and al-Shuja’iya, and destroyed homes in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.
Another civilian was martyred by occupation fire east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Delayed Recovery Efforts Reveal More Casualties
Civil Defense teams recovered the bodies of 12 Palestinians martyred in earlier attacks, whose retrieval had been delayed for several days due to the intensity of Israeli bombardment. The operation was supported by the Red Cross as part of ongoing efforts in al-Maghazi camp.
Israeli artillery shelled eastern Khan Younis, while the occupation’s air force launched four dawn raids on southeast Khan Younis and a fifth airstrike on Rafah. These attacks further strain the already devastated southern regions where thousands of displaced families are concentrated.
Journalists Continue to Be Targeted
The Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the number of journalists martyred since the beginning of the Israeli genocide has risen to 257, following the killing of veteran photojournalist Mahmoud Wadi, who worked with multiple local and international outlets.
His martyrdom adds to the growing list of journalists deliberately targeted as Israel seeks to silence documentation of its ongoing crimes. (PW)
