Sheikh Qassem: Pager Attack Survivors ‘Symbols of Steadfastness’
Hezbollah Secretary-General Affirms the Role of Wounded in Upholding the Spirit of Resistance and Guiding the Path Toward Victory
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Hezbollah Secretary-General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, delivered a comprehensive address emphasizing the spiritual and societal role of those wounded in the Pager terrorist attack.
He described them as “the pioneers of insight, the key to hope, and the embodiment of eternal life in obedience to Allah.”
Sheikh Qassem underscored that the wounded embody the light that illuminates the righteous path and the heartbeat that sustains the continuity of life.
He declared that they are today’s teachers, educators, and guides, offering lessons in perseverance, sacrifice, and steadfastness.
The Wounded as Symbols of Perseverance and Hope
In his speech, Sheikh Qassem explained that the wounded, by overcoming their injuries, demonstrate the highest example of transcendence and resilience. “They recover from their wounds and rise above them, and that is the most important thing,” he stated.
He emphasized that they have undergone a difficult trial and succeeded in it, emerging with renewed determination and filled with hope for the future.
“These wounded now live a state of revival, filled with optimism and clarity of vision,” he said, stressing that their inner insight is far greater than mere sight, as it guides the inner self outward.
Defying the Enemy’s Intentions
Sheikh Qassem explained that the Israeli enemy had sought to disable and remove the wounded from the battlefield. Instead, the opposite occurred: “They re-entered the struggle with greater strength and energy,” he affirmed.
He pointed out that many of the wounded are now pursuing higher education, opening workshops, engaging in social and cultural activities, or entering the media field.
These initiatives, he said, are creative contributions that prove their unbreakable spirit.
“Do not think your actions are small,” he told the wounded. “Your contributions, made through the lens of your sacrifice, carry far greater weight and meaning than if they were achieved without such wounds. Within them lies spirit, light, dedication, and jihad.”
Rooted in the Message of Islam
The Secretary-General reminded the wounded of their firm connection to Islam and its authentic message. “You are with the complete message of Islam; with Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, with the guardianship, with Imam Khomeini (may Allah sanctify his soul), and with Imam Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may Allah protect him). You aspire to the banner of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).”
Sheikh Qassem further emphasized that they walk on the path of the greatest of martyrs, including “the master of the martyrs of the Ummah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrullah (may Allah be pleased with him), the martyred leaders, and all the mujahideen and martyrs, men and women, adults and children.”
A Testament Against the World
Concluding his address, Sheikh Qassem stressed that the wounded represent the highest form of resistance and a living proof against scholars and leaders worldwide. He recalled the words of Imam Khomeini: “You are the highest.”
He asserted with certainty that the Zionist entity will fall: “Israel will vanish, because it is an occupation, oppression, crime, and aggression. And because the resistance fighters continue to confront it until full liberation, walking the path of one of the two great outcomes: victory or martyrdom. This is an everlasting gain.”
Sheikh Qassem ended his message with prayers and greetings to the Pager wounded, the walkie-talkie wounded, and all wounded who have sacrificed in this noble journey: “Victory is yours. May peace, Allah’s mercy, and His blessings be upon you.” (PW)
