Sheikh Qassem Hails Hezbollah’s Wounded Fighters, Reaffirms the Path of Resistance
Hizbullah leader frames wounds as symbols of dignity, condemns US-led aggression and Zionist war crimes
Lebanon | PUREWILAYAH.COM — Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem has issued a powerful message honoring the movement’s wounded fighters, reaffirming that their sacrifices embody dignity, steadfastness, and the inevitability of victory in the face of American-led aggression and Israeli crimes.
In his message addressed to wounded male and female fighters, Sheikh Qassem extended his salute to the sons and daughters of the Ummah — men, women, youth, and children — describing their blood, pain, and patience as the moral foundation of resistance.
“The flow of their blood is a radiance of life, the pain of their wounds is a cry of truth, and their patience is the ink of hope and dignity,” Sheikh Qassem said.
Wounds on the Path of God and Liberation
Sheikh Qassem stressed that the wounded deliberately chose the path of God in defense of the homeland and in the struggle to liberate land and humanity. He said their sacrifices prove the worthiness of a dignified life in the face of humiliation, submission, and the pursuit of fleeting worldly gain.
He described the wounded as a lasting source of pride for generations and for all free people, emphasizing that their presence stands as a moral testimony that resistance is rooted in faith, endurance, and conscious choice.
Inspired by Abbas and Guided by Khamenei
Highlighting the spiritual foundations of resistance, Sheikh Qassem pointed to Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) as a timeless model of loyalty and sacrifice. He also referred to the wounds borne by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, as an example of leadership shaped by lived struggle.
In his message, Sheikh Qassem presented these wounds as evidence that sacrifice is not confined to the rank and file, but extends to the highest level of leadership. By invoking the injuries endured by Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, he framed resistance leadership as one that shares pain and responsibility, rather than issuing commands from a position removed from hardship.
This reference reinforced the idea that the axis of resistance is guided by figures whose authority is grounded in personal sacrifice, patience, and steadfastness on the path of God.
Confronting US Tyranny and Israeli Aggression
Sheikh Qassem warned that the Ummah is facing a major confrontation led by American tyranny, backed by Western powers, and carried out through Israeli brutality and war crimes. He praised the steadfastness of the wounded, the fighters, their families, and the broader resistance environment.
He noted that resistance forces succeeded in immobilizing tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers along the borders of southern Lebanon, while civilians returned immediately to their land following the ceasefire, defending it with faith, presence, and resolve.
Resistance Blocks the American Project
According to Sheikh Qassem, the resistance — in the battle of “Uli al-Ba’s” and in all stages before and after it — disrupted the expansion of land theft and obstructed Washington’s so-called “New Middle East” project.
He stressed that with resistance, the land will remain with its people and the homeland with its sons, regardless of the scale of pressure or sacrifice. Citing the Quranic verse, “And these days We alternate among the people” (Quran 3:140), he underlined that steadfastness is capable of changing the balance.
Victory in Wounds, Martyrdom, and Perseverance
Sheikh Qassem affirmed that the wounded recover because they stand on faith and truth, and that as long as the path remains that of Karbala, Imam Husain (peace be upon him), and Hezbollah, victory remains assured.
Recalling the words of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, he said:
“When we achieve victory, we are victorious; and when we are martyred, we are victorious.”
He explained that some achieve victory through martyrdom by passing the torch of dignity to others, some through wounds while remaining on the path of struggle, and others through continued commitment until the promised triumph is fulfilled.
Final Salute to the Wounded and the Resistance Axis
Sheikh Qassem concluded by saluting Hezbollah’s wounded fighters — particularly those injured in pager attacks — as well as their families, caregivers, and supporters. He also paid tribute to Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, describing him as the guiding leader of this divine march of resistance toward liberation and victory. (PW)
