Sayyed Houthi Vows Yemen Will Target Any Israeli Military Presence in Somaliland
The Ansarallah Leader says Yemen will immediately target any Israeli deployment in Somaliland, while reaffirming coordination with the Axis of Resistance and congratulating Iran on its recent victory
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi has warned that Yemen will launch military action against any Israeli military presence established in Somaliland, describing such a move as a direct threat to the security of the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the wider Islamic world.
Speaking during his Ashura address, Sayyed Abdulmalik devoted part of his speech to regional developments, saying Yemen is closely following Israeli efforts in Somaliland and reaffirming that Sana’a remains committed to coordinated action with the Axis of Resistance in confronting future regional escalation.
Yemen Warns Against Israeli Presence in Somaliland
Sayyed Abdulmalik said the issue extends far beyond Somalia itself, arguing that Israel is seeking to establish a strategic position overlooking one of the world’s most sensitive maritime corridors. According to him, control over Somaliland would allow Israel to expand its influence over the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea, giving it greater leverage over regional security and international shipping.
He called on Muslim countries, particularly those overlooking the Red Sea, to prevent such a development through a unified regional position. At the same time, he made clear that Yemen would not wait for other governments to respond if Israel proceeds with such plans.
“We are closely monitoring developments in Somaliland and what the Israeli enemy seeks by turning it into a foothold through which it can control the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea. While we call upon our Islamic Ummah, especially the countries overlooking the Red Sea, to adopt a united position to prevent the Israeli enemy from achieving this objective, we affirm that we will not stand idly by in the face of any Israeli deployment in Somaliland.”
Sayyed Abdulmalik said Yemen would act independently if necessary.
“We will not wait for hesitant or negligent regimes to move. Whenever the Israeli enemy establishes any presence there, we will immediately target it using all available means.”
He also urged Muslim governments to help restore stability in Somalia, end internal conflict, and support the Somali people against what he described as an Israeli attempt to violate Somalia’s sovereignty while creating a new source of instability across the region.
Calls Iran’s Victory a Victory for the Entire Axis of Resistance
Turning to recent regional developments, Sayyed Abdulmalik congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran on what he described as a major victory over the United States and Israel, saying the achievement belonged not only to Iran but to the entire Axis of Resistance.
He characterized the outcome as an important stage in the broader confrontation between the Islamic Ummah and its adversaries, saying it strengthens the Resistance front across West Asia.
“We congratulate the Islamic Republic of Iran on its great victory, which is a victory granted by Allah over the enemies of the Islamic Ummah—America and Israel. It is an important victory for the entire Axis of Jihad, Resistance, and Al-Quds, and for the whole Ummah.”
Sayyed Abdulmalik added that coordination among Resistance movements remains active and continuous, stressing that Yemen stands ready to participate in any future confrontation if required.
“We remain in continuous coordination with our brothers in the Axis of Jihad and Resistance regarding any new round of confrontation. We will not hesitate to fulfill our Islamic duty in jihad in the cause of Allah and to confront the enemies of our Ummah in any new aggression they launch on any front, especially Gaza.”
He reaffirmed that support for Palestine remains a central component of Yemen’s regional policy and said any future escalation involving Gaza would continue to receive Yemen’s backing.
Yemen Reaffirms Commitment to Palestine
Concluding the regional portion of his Ashura address, Sayyed Abdulmalik reiterated that Yemen’s position toward Palestine and the broader Islamic causes remains unchanged despite shifting regional circumstances.
He said the Yemeni people remain committed to confronting the United States and Israel, maintaining support for Palestine as the foremost cause of the Islamic Ummah, and continuing what he described as the path of resistance inspired by Imam Husayn’s stand against oppression.
“We reaffirm the steadfastness of our people, based on their faith and Qur’anic path, in maintaining their position toward the enemies of Islam and Muslims, foremost among them America and Israel, and in remaining committed to the major causes of the Ummah, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, its people, its land, and its holy sites.” (PW)
