Sayyed Houthi: Israeli Strike on Sana’a Airport Aims to Undermine Yemen’s Support for Palestine
In his Dhu al-Hijjah lecture series, the Ansarullah leader stresses that Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine is rooted in faith and will not be shaken by aggression
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - In his first lecture for the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH—part of an ongoing series on Quranic narratives—Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badruddin al-Houthi stated that the Israeli attack on Sana’a International Airport is part of a broader agenda to strike at the Islamic Ummah and pressure Yemen to abandon its principled stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.
He said:
“The Zionist enemy seeks to isolate the Palestinian people without any reaction from the Muslim world. Following the failure of American aggression, the Israeli regime finds itself in a weakened position.”
Repeated Attacks Are Meant to Restore Israel’s Lost Deterrence
Sayyed Houthi emphasized that Israel is attempting to regain its lost deterrence by repeatedly targeting civilian infrastructure in Yemen.
“No matter the scale or repetition of Israeli aggression, it will have absolutely no effect on our people’s religious and principled position in supporting our dear Palestinian brothers,” he affirmed.
Disrupting Hajj Pilgrimage Among Israel’s Objectives
He noted that one of Israel’s possible goals in targeting the airport was to obstruct the transportation of Yemeni Hajj pilgrims.
“But, God willing, they will fail,” he declared.
He also reassured that:
“Reconstruction and repairs at Sana’a Airport will continue as needed to ensure it remains operational.”
Yemen’s Commitment to Palestine Will Only Grow Stronger
Sayyed Houthi reaffirmed that Yemen is determined to take an even firmer stance in support of the Palestinian people, particularly in light of the unprecedented suffering they face in Gaza.
“The more the Israeli enemy persists in its crimes against the Palestinian people, the greater the responsibility upon the Islamic Ummah,” he stressed.
Humanitarian Catastrophe in Gaza Demands Escalated Resistance
He condemned the ongoing genocide in Gaza, declaring that Yemen’s religious, moral, and humanitarian duty compels it to intensify military operations against the Zionist regime.
“The escalation in Gaza drives us to continue and further escalate our military operations and all forms of resistance against the Israeli enemy,” Sayyed Houthi added.
He concluded by emphasizing that the suffering of the Palestinian people in this stage is greater than ever—whether due to the harsh blockade and starvation or the accumulation of Israeli crimes.” (PW)
