Sayyed Houthi: Israeli Recognition of Somaliland Is an Act of Aggression That Must Be Confronted
Ansarallah leader warns of Israeli plot to fragment the region, threaten the Red Sea, and target Somalia and Yemen; declares any Israeli presence in Somaliland a legitimate military target
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the leader of Ansarallah, has declared that the Israeli enemy’s recognition of the Somaliland region as a separate entity from Somalia constitutes a blatant act of aggression and part of a broader conspiracy against the Islamic Ummah.
In a statement issued on Sunday evening, Sayyed al-Houthi stressed that this move is not a political gesture, but an aggressive step aimed at destabilizing Somalia, threatening Yemen, and undermining security in the Red Sea region and beyond.
An Aggressive Israeli Plot Against Somalia and the Region
Sayyed al-Houthi stated that the Israeli enemy, through this declaration, is targeting Somalia and its African surroundings, while simultaneously threatening Yemen, the Red Sea, and the countries located along both shores of the Red Sea.
“This Zionist aggressive move aims to establish a foothold in Somalia to target the region,” he said.
“It also seeks to fragment the countries of the region as part of a plan that is not limited to Somalia, but whose declared title is the reshaping of the Middle East.”
He warned that such actions represent a continuation of Israeli efforts to dismantle and fragment states, using Somalia as a new arena for implementing this destructive strategy.
A Void and Illegitimate Declaration
Sayyed al-Houthi emphasized that the Israeli declaration has no legal or moral standing whatsoever.
“The Israeli enemy’s declaration is null and void. It has no value in the balance of truth or law,” he said.
“It is an act of aggression with aggressive objectives and an aggressive program, issued by an occupying entity that lacks legitimacy for itself—so how could it grant legitimacy to others?”
He added that Israel will seek, through this move, to expand the circle of recognition and cooperation with other parties and countries, in order to entrench its hostile presence in the region.
Threat to the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden
According to Sayyed al-Houthi, Israel aims to turn Somaliland into a base for hostile activities against Somalia, African countries, Yemen, and Arab states.
He warned that this agenda directly threatens the security of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and will lead to further destabilization and fragmentation of other countries in the region, using the same methods previously applied elsewhere.
Firm Position and Military Response
Addressing this Israeli aggression against Somalia and the region, Sayyed al-Houthi outlined Ansarallah’s clear position and measures.
1. Call for Arab, Islamic, and International Action
He stressed the need for a firm and serious Arab and Islamic stance in support of Somalia and the Somali people, including efforts to thwart Israeli schemes and apply pressure on collaborators and traitors cooperating with Israel in the Somaliland region.
He also called for decisive action at the international level, urging all international institutions to adopt a firm position in support of Somalia.
2. Any Israeli Presence in Somaliland Is a Military Target
Sayyed al-Houthi reaffirmed Ansarallah’s unwavering support for the brotherly Somali people against the Israeli enemy, stating that Yemen will take all possible supportive measures to stand alongside them.
“We consider any Israeli presence in the Somaliland region a legitimate military target for our armed forces,” he declared,
“as it constitutes aggression against Somalia and Yemen, and a threat to regional security that requires decisive action.”
He underscored that Ansarallah will not accept any part of Somalia being turned into a foothold for the Israeli enemy at the expense of Somalia’s independence and sovereignty, the security of its people, or the security of the region and the Red Sea.
A Broader Call to the Ummah
Sayyed al-Houthi also called on all countries along both shores of the Red Sea, as well as the Arab and Islamic world, to take concrete and practical measures to prevent Israel from violating Somalia and other Muslim and independent countries.
He further emphasized the necessity for the entire Ummah to stand firmly in support of the oppressed Palestinian people, warning that any failure to do so only enables Israel to expand its conspiracies against other nations.
“The Israeli enemy is an enemy of the entire Ummah and a danger to the countries of the region,” he concluded,
“if its aggressive conspiracies are not confronted with firmness, seriousness, and responsibility.” (PW)
