Sayyed Houthi: Iran’s Steadfastness Blocks Zionist-American Plan in West Asia
Yemen’s resistance leader says Iran’s military operations, internal unity, and coordinated axis response are dismantling a broader US-Israeli project targeting the region
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s revolutionary movement, said the Islamic Republic of Iran is confronting American and Israeli aggression with high effectiveness and unwavering steadfastness, describing its performance as a decisive barrier against a wider Zionist-American project in the region.
In a speech addressing the latest regional developments, Sayyed al-Houthi stated that Iran’s response reflects both legitimacy and capability.
“With full steadfastness and effectiveness, the Islamic Republic of Iran… confronts American and Israeli tyranny and the brutal, savage, criminal Zionist aggression,” he said.
He pointed to sustained missile and drone operations carried out day and night, which he said have resulted in the destruction of US military bases, heavy damage to Israeli capabilities, and the downing of numerous enemy drones.
He added that the scale of impact on American forces has reached an unprecedented level, describing it as “massive destruction of American military capabilities… unprecedented by American admission.”
Iran’s Battlefield Performance Backed by Public Unity
Sayyed al-Houthi emphasized that Iran’s military effectiveness is reinforced by strong political and popular cohesion.
He highlighted widespread public mobilization across Iranian cities since the beginning of the aggression, describing it as clear evidence of national unity around the leadership, the Revolutionary Guard, and the armed forces.
“This great steadfastness stands as an impenetrable barrier against what the enemies seek—a dangerous phase in their Zionist plan,” he said.
He warned that the stakes of the confrontation extend far beyond Iran, noting that a collapse of the Islamic Republic would have opened the way for broader regional domination.
“If the enemies had succeeded… they would have immediately moved to sweep through the peoples of this region,” he stated.
According to him, Iran is being targeted primarily because of its central role in obstructing a project that threatens the entire Muslim world.
Unified Resistance Response Alters Regional Dynamics
A central theme of the address was the coordinated action of the resistance axis across multiple fronts.
Sayyed al-Houthi said the axis is operating “within a unified stance under the title: unity of arenas,” describing it as the model that the entire Ummah should adopt in confronting a declared and long-standing Zionist project.
He stressed that the nature of the war is openly Zionist in its design and objectives, adding that enemy plans relied on rapid escalation through targeted strikes against leadership and strategic infrastructure.
However, those expectations failed, as Iranian operations proved both precise and strategic.
“They are not random operations; rather, they target the enemy at its most critical points,” he said, noting that strikes have hit military bases, command centers, and key facilities.
Deterrence Restored as Enemy Strategy Falters
Sayyed al-Houthi described the current phase as a turning point in the regional balance of power.
He said the outcome of Iran’s position, combined with the broader resistance response, has restored deterrence and undermined the long-standing equation of vulnerability.
“Our Ummah is restoring the equation of deterrence and collapsing the equation of vulnerability and surrender,” he said.
He framed ongoing sacrifices as part of a necessary and meaningful struggle, emphasizing that effective resistance imposes costs on the aggressor and prevents continued unchecked aggression.
Narrative Battle Exposes Pro-Western Positions
Sayyed al-Houthi also addressed what he described as a coordinated media campaign aimed at distorting the role of Iran and the resistance axis.
He said pro-American and pro-Israeli actors seek to portray Iran’s legitimate response as aggression, while attempting to delegitimize resistance movements across the region.
“They describe the legitimate Iranian response as aggression against the region,” he said.
He rejected claims that confronting Israel is irrelevant to Arab and Muslim nations, stressing that the Palestinian cause remains central.
“Palestine concerns us… every Muslim country under aggression concerns us,” he added.
According to him, the current confrontation has exposed internal divisions within the region, clearly distinguishing between those who support resistance and those aligned with Western and Israeli narratives.
US-Israeli Aggression Targets Civilian Infrastructure
Sayyed al-Houthi dismissed Western claims that military operations are limited to political targets, stating that attacks have clearly affected civilian life.
He pointed to strikes on residential areas, universities, schools, and public infrastructure, arguing that these actions demonstrate a broader targeting of societies rather than governments.
“They clearly prove that they are enemies of the people themselves,” he said.
Palestine at the Center of the Confrontation
Sayyed al-Houthi reiterated that the Palestinian cause remains the central issue uniting the region.
He warned of escalating Israeli measures against Al-Aqsa Mosque, describing recent developments as a dangerous step, and condemned policies targeting Palestinian prisoners as criminal.
He stressed that continued Israeli operations in Gaza and the West Bank reinforce the need for a unified regional response.
Yemen Joins Coordinated Operations
Sayyed al-Houthi confirmed that Yemen has entered the current phase of confrontation through joint operations with the resistance axis.
“The hand that we said was on the trigger has begun… launching missiles and drones in joint operations against the criminal Zionist enemy,” he said.
He emphasized that Yemen’s position is rooted in both religious obligation and regional responsibility.
“We are part of this Ummah—indeed, from the heart of this Ummah,” he stated.
Describing the confrontation as morally clear, he added:
“The position against the Israeli enemy and its American partner is the purest, most righteous, and clearest position.”
Sayyed al-Houthi concluded by calling for mass public mobilization in Yemen, urging large-scale demonstrations as part of what he described as a broader and ongoing resistance effort against American and Israeli aggression. (PW)
