Sayyed Houthi Highlights the Significance of Resistance, Urges Worldwide Support for Palestine
Speaking to the Yemeni people and a broader Arab and Muslim audience, he called for continued resistance against American and Israeli aggression and urged the region not to remain silent
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - In a powerful televised address, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, condemned the ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip and accused the United States of direct involvement in the atrocities committed there. Speaking to the Yemeni people and a broader Arab and Muslim audience, he called for continued resistance against American and Israeli aggression and urged the region not to remain silent in the face of what he termed genocide and occupation.
America is Behind the Crimes
Sayyed Abdulmalik opened his speech by sharply criticizing the United States, describing it as the principal actor behind the destruction in Gaza. According to him, while Israel is executing the military attacks, the true enabler is the American government.
“The crimes committed by the Israeli enemy are carried out with American bombs, American expertise, and American oversight,” he said.
“They are carried out under the protection of the United States and with full political cover from it.”
He went on to stress that the American administration is deeply complicit in the massacre of civilians, the targeting of hospitals, and the systematic destruction of infrastructure in Gaza.
“Starvation and Siege Are Their Weapons”
The Ansarullah leader highlighted the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza, where Israeli forces have intensified their operations in recent weeks, particularly around Rafah and other southern areas.
“The enemy is targeting the displaced with U.S.-made bombs, bombing camps and hospitals, and preventing food and medicine from entering. Starvation is a weapon they use,” al-Houthi said.
He noted that in just one week, nearly a thousand Palestinians were killed or injured, with many of the victims being women and children.
Praise for Palestinian Resistance
Sayyed al-Houthi praised the resilience and bravery of Palestinian resistance factions, particularly Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades. He cited their recent operations, including a deadly ambush in Beit Hanoun that killed and wounded dozens of Israeli soldiers, as proof that Israel fears direct confrontation.
“The enemy is afraid to face the resistance directly. That’s why it turns to genocide, bombing civilians from a distance,” he said.
He described the Israeli army as “humiliated and cowardly,” dependent on heavy airpower and siege tactics instead of battlefield strength.
Criticism of Arab Governments
The Ansarullah leader also criticized Arab regimes for what he called their weak and complicit stance in the face of Israeli aggression.
“The Zionist-American enemy dares to continue its crimes because of the shameful silence of the Arab regimes,” he said.
He condemned the normalization efforts by several Arab states and their failure to take meaningful action, saying they have betrayed the Palestinian cause and abandoned the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic holy sites.
Al-Aqsa is in Danger
Sayyed Abdulmalik warned that the Zionist project seeks to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque and completely Judaize Jerusalem. He referenced the recent storming of the mosque by thousands of Israeli settlers during Passover, protected by the Israeli police.
“The storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by over 4,000 settlers is a dangerous sign. They are laying the groundwork to demolish the mosque,” he said.
“They are imposing facts on the ground to erase the Palestinian identity and destroy Islamic heritage.”
Lebanon and Syria Also Under Attack
Al-Houthi expressed solidarity with Hezbollah in Lebanon and denounced Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon and parts of Syria. He said these actions show that the Israeli regime is expanding its aggression beyond Gaza.
“The enemy has increased its targeting of civilians and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. But Hezbollah remains strong and steadfast,” he said.
He called on all Lebanese factions to stand united against Israeli aggression and protect national sovereignty.
Occupied Cities: “From Gaza to Yaffa”
In a poignant moment, Sayyed Abdulmalik reminded his audience of the broader historical context of Israeli occupation. Referring not just to Gaza but to cities that were ethnically cleansed during the Nakba in 1948, he emphasized the continued occupation of Palestinian land.
“Our people know the truth about this enemy—from occupied Gaza to occupied Yaffa,” he declared.
“This is a colonial project that has stolen homes, destroyed lives, and erased the names of cities we still carry in our hearts,” he added.
His reference to Yaffa (Jaffa), now part of Tel Aviv and mostly depopulated of Palestinians, was a symbolic nod to the full scale of the occupation that began decades before the current war.
“They call it Tel Aviv, but we call it occupied Yaffa. We have not forgotten, and we will not forget,” he said.
Yemen's Response: Strikes on Israel and the US
Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi highlighted Yemen's growing role in supporting Palestine through military actions. He revealed that Yemeni forces had launched a number of long-range missile and drone attacks on Israeli and American targets.
“This week, we launched nine confrontations against the Americans using 27 missiles and drones,” he said.
“The American aircraft carriers that once approached us have now retreated. They fear our firepower.”
He added that Yemeni air defenses had downed several U.S. reconnaissance drones over Yemeni territory, bringing the total number of downed aircraft to 22 since Yemen began its operations in support of Gaza.
Our People Will Remain Steadfast
In his concluding remarks, Sayyed Abdulmalik reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and praised the sacrifices of the Yemeni people.
“Our people remain strong and steadfast. Our support is based on faith, values, and the path of resistance,” he said.
“Victory is found in this faithful stance. We will never abandon Palestine, no matter the cost.”
He called on all Muslims around the world to rise in support of Gaza, Jerusalem, and the resistance, warning that the future of the region is at stake.
A Call to Action for the Islamic Nation
Closing his speech, Al-Houthi emphasized the religious, moral, and humanitarian obligation of the Islamic Ummah to rise against the Zionist-American aggression.
“The enemy does not respect those who submit. It values no one—not even those who serve it,” he declared. “What the nation needs is a correct perspective, strength, and unwavering commitment to justice and dignity.” (PW)
