Sayyed Houthi: Gaza Is the Site of the Century’s Crime — A Grave Test for the Muslim Ummah
In a powerful address, the Yemeni leader condemns Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, denounces Arab silence, and warns of divine and worldly consequences for abandoning Palestine.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The leader of the Ansar Allah movement described the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as “tragic, sorrowful, disgraceful, and horrific,” amid the continued onslaught of the Israeli killing machine targeting the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and beyond.
In his address on Thursday, regarding the latest developments, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi stated that the Israeli aggression has led to the martyrdom of more than 40,000 children and the complete annihilation of entire families. He emphasized that severe hunger has reached a point where even infant formula is being blocked from entering Gaza. More than 66,000 children are suffering from malnutrition.
He warned that such hatred and criminality targets all Arabs and Muslims, and if the enemy were to achieve victory in Palestine, it would commit the same crimes in other Arab countries.
Starvation, Bombs, and Forced Displacement: Daily Suffering Under Zionist Aggression
Sayyed Abdul-Malik pointed out that the Israeli enemy kills large numbers of Palestinians every day in horrific massacres, while many others die of hunger due to Israel’s deliberate targeting of food supplies, water sources, and its prevention of access to basic sustenance. This is compounded by the imposition of forced displacement upon them.
He stressed that even in their tents and medical facilities, Palestinians are being bombed using lethal American-made weapons. All forms of suffering and injustice are being inflicted upon the people of Gaza in their most extreme forms.
He highlighted that for 19 consecutive months, the Israeli entity has continued its barbaric aggression on Gaza, committing what he termed “the crime of the century” and engaging in genocide against the Palestinian people. He expressed deep sorrow that such an atrocity is taking place in the heart of the Islamic world, in full view of the global community.
The Crime of the Century and the Ummah's Shameful Failure
Sayyed Abdul-Malik stressed that the genocide in Gaza carries immense implications for the collective responsibility of the Muslim Ummah, especially the Arab world.
He warned that the Islamic and Arab nations bear a historical responsibility for these crimes and that their shameful failure to support the Palestinian people will have severe consequences in both this life and the Hereafter.
He revealed that this “crime of the century” has led to more than 180,000 martyrs, injured, and missing persons within a limited geographical area. He lamented that such an atrocity is occurring at the heart of the Muslim lands and is being witnessed live by the entire world—unlike past genocides that were only discovered after the fact.
He affirmed that these crimes have profound spiritual and moral consequences for the Ummah. Neglecting this sacred and monumental duty of jihad in the cause of Allah and confronting oppression has no justification before Allah, and it brings about His wrath and indignation.
Divine Wrath and the Dangerous Results of Complacency
Sayyed Abdul-Malik warned that the anger and wrath of Allah upon the Muslim Ummah will have dire consequences in this world and the Hereafter.
He added that the factors driving the Ummah—whether fear, greed, or a dehumanizing upbringing that stripped them of dignity—have led to a failure in fulfilling their responsibilities, resulting in dangerous consequences and disastrous repercussions.
He emphasized that the greater the crimes, the greater the responsibility, burden, and consequences before Allah. He reminded the audience of the numerous Qur’anic verses that command God-consciousness (taqwa) and warn against neglecting the divine commands and sacred collective responsibilities of the Ummah. He stated that this negligence will inevitably lead to catastrophic worldly outcomes.
He further criticized those who abandon their responsibilities under the illusion of being “wise,” warning that reliance on inaction will only invite greater harm. He asserted that a lack of faith in Allah’s promises and warnings is behind the misguided stances and choices that deviate from divine instruction.
Zionist Doctrine, Genocidal Policy, and the Stripping of Arab Dignity
Sayyed Abdul-Malik explained that the Israeli enemy has consistently inflicted torture, oppression, confiscation of wealth, and land since the formation of Zionist gangs.
Their agenda against the Muslim Ummah is transparent, and their view of all Arabs—even those who normalize relations with them—is one of utter contempt. He stated that according to Talmudic texts, they regard Arabs as subhuman—lower than dogs and donkeys—merely to be exploited.
He clarified that this dehumanizing ideology is taught in Israeli schools and turned into practical policy. The Arab and Muslim nations, plagued by greed, fear, and negative influences, have lost their humanity and moral compass. He described how both religious Zionism and secular Zionism share the same hostile culture toward the Ummah, with the unified goal of dominating it and advancing the “Greater Israel” project. This includes efforts to take control of al-Aqsa Mosque and eventually destroy it through a series of conditioning steps.
Praising the Resistance and Warning Against the Consequences of Silence
Sayyed Abdul-Malik praised the operations of the resistance fighters in Gaza, affirming the effectiveness of their stance, their resilience, and their heroic sacrifices.
He stressed that their level of courage and defiance deserves the full support of the Ummah. While the Palestinians possess the spiritual strength to remain steadfast, they are in dire need of material and practical assistance.
He questioned why the Muslim Ummah has not stood for truth and justice in the face of overwhelming Western support for the Zionist enemy. He warned that the abandonment of this responsibility will result in consequences far worse than what people currently fear, both in this world and the Hereafter.
He also addressed the ongoing crimes in the West Bank—killings, destruction, and displacement—focusing especially on Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque. These actions, he said, are part of a systematic and strategic plan aimed at total domination over the Ummah.
In conclusion, Sayyed Abdul-Malik reiterated that the responsibility of the Muslim world toward the Palestinian people is immense, and ignoring this obligation will never absolve them from the consequences of their failure.
He reaffirmed that the Zionist plan against Arabs and Muslims is clear, their hatred is indiscriminate, and both religious and secular Zionists share a common goal: the full subjugation of the Muslim world to achieve the “Greater Israel” vision. (ARN)
