Sayyed Houthi: Gaza Faces Its Most Tragic Week Amid Global Silence

Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine al-Houthi, delivered a powerful speech on Thursday afternoon, condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and lambasting Arab regimes and the international community for their failure to show genuine solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The Darkest Week of the Israeli Aggression
Sayyed al-Houthi described the past week as “the heaviest, most tragic, and most unjust” since the start of the Israeli onslaught on October 7, 2023. He highlighted the immense suffering of Gaza’s children as the most heartbreaking evidence of the crimes being committed.
“The children of Gaza are not just suffering—they are being deliberately targeted. The enemy is even blocking baby formula in an attempt to wipe out an entire generation,” he declared.
He also denounced the Israeli military as “Zionist gangs” who treat the killing of children as a form of entertainment, while calling out the West’s hypocrisy in its so-called defense of human rights.
Starvation as a Weapon of Genocide
Sayyed al-Houthi revealed that over 900,000 Palestinian children in Gaza are now suffering from hunger, with 70,000 of them in a state of acute malnutrition.
He accused the United States of complicity in these war crimes, using food aid as a “deadly trap” that has claimed the lives of more than 1,000 Palestinians.
“If two billion Muslims and hundreds of millions of Arabs don’t rise up now, then when will they ever stand united?” he asked.
Fierce Criticism of Arab Normalization and Hypocrisy
Sayyed al-Houthi launched scathing criticism against Arab regimes that maintain ties with the Zionist entity while pretending to care about the Palestinian cause.
He accused several countries of supplying food and goods to “Israel” throughout its military campaign.
“Normalization is not just a diplomatic relationship—it is a betrayal of religion and the Ummah,” he stressed.
He also exposed efforts by major Arab states to offer alternative shipping routes to the Zionist regime in response to the maritime blockade imposed by Yemen.
Zionism and Global Conspiracy
The Ansarullah leader described Zionism as a global movement with two wings—“Israel” and the United States—whose goals go far beyond the occupation of Palestine and target the entire Islamic world.
“Zionism is a modern colonial ideology rooted in corruption, greed, and the enslavement of nations,” he said, referencing the so-called “Golden Billion” theory as evidence of Zionist ambitions for global domination and mass extermination.
Warning Against Disarming Resistance Movements
Sayyed al-Houthi strongly warned against ongoing calls to disarm resistance groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon, describing such efforts as “absurd and disgraceful,” serving only the interests of the enemy.
“It is we who need arms the most—because we are the ones being attacked. Hezbollah’s weapons are a shield, not a threat.”
He invoked the Sabra and Shatila massacres as historical proof of the dangers of disarmament, insisting that armed resistance remains the only reliable safeguard for oppressed peoples.
Arab Media Accused of Sabotaging Solidarity
Sayyed al-Houthi condemned the Arab media landscape as complicit in suppressing support for Palestine, accusing many outlets of attacking anyone who stands with Gaza.
“Peace slogans are being used to paralyze the Ummah. What they really want is the complete erasure of the Palestinian struggle.”
Gaza’s Bravery and Israel’s Military Crisis
In closing, Sayyed al-Houthi praised the courage of the Palestinian people in Gaza, describing their steadfastness as “among the rarest forms of heroism in the world.”
He said “Israel” is currently facing a deep military crisis, marked by manpower shortages and a wave of desertions among its reserve forces. (PW)
