Sayyed Houthi: Colombian President Shows Courage Absent in the Arab World
Yemeni resistance leader hails Colombia’s stance, slams Arab regimes’ failure, and highlights global solidarity moves from Italy and Slovenia.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi praised international stances supporting Gaza, foremost among them that of the President of the Republic of Colombia.
He stressed that the Colombian president’s position was among the most honorable and advanced international stances, surpassing those of most Arab and Muslim leaders.
He recalled that the Colombian president had called for forming an army to liberate Palestine and for severing all ties with the Israeli enemy — a level of moral and human conscience largely absent among Arab regimes.
Arab Failure vs. Global Solidarity
Sayyed al-Houthi lamented the grave failure of Arab and Muslim leaders, whom he described as lacking religious, national, and moral responsibility. He contrasted this with international examples of solidarity:
Italian port workers and labor unions who blocked a shipment of fuel destined for Israel.
Slovenia’s official ban preventing war criminal Netanyahu from entering its territory.
He emphasized that while ordinary people and some states act with conscience, much of the Arab world remains paralyzed in shameful inaction.
Flotilla of Steadfastness: A Symbol of Global Conscience
Sayyed al-Houthi described the Flotilla of Steadfastness as a prominent, symbolic, and vital form of solidarity. He noted that the activists’ voyage represents the 38th attempt to break the siege of Gaza, undertaken despite great risks.
He confirmed that the Israeli enemy once again attacked the flotilla, abducted activists, and seized humanitarian aid. Yet, he underlined that the flotilla’s activists succeeded in exposing Israel’s crimes and bringing global attention to the suffering of Palestinians.
Sayyed al-Houthi concluded by stressing that the activists of the Flotilla of Steadfastness are doing their utmost to awaken the world’s conscience. He said their actions establish proof against the Muslim Ummah and others who surround Palestine but do nothing while its people are starved under siege. (PW)
