Sanaa, Yemen – In a powerful televised address, the leader of the Ansarullah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, vehemently condemned Saudi Arabia’s recent allegations that Yemeni forces targeted the holy city of Mecca, dismissing the claims as a “heinous lie” and a desperate attempt to mask Riyadh’s battlefield failures.
Sayyed al-Houthi further exposed the true nature of the ongoing Saudi-led war on Yemen, revealing that the military aggression is being directly supervised by the United States, alongside Israeli and British military experts.
The “Lie of the Age”
Addressing the baseless Saudi propaganda, the Ansarullah leader stated that the accusation of targeting Mecca is “the lie of the age” and a “manifest slander” designed to elicit international sympathy and justify ongoing war crimes against the Yemeni people.
“No rational Muslim who possesses an ounce of respect for their Islamic identity would believe or accept such slander against a people whom the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) testified to as the ‘people of faith and wisdom,’” Sayyed al-Houthi declared. He emphasised that the lives, wealth, and very existence of the Yemeni people are a “ransom for Mecca and all Islamic sanctities.”
He challenged the Saudi regime and its allies to direct their outrage toward the “real and clear enemy”—the Zionist entity—whose literature and political plans openly threaten Al-Aqsa, Mecca, and Medina, rather than falling for Riyadh’s deceptive narratives.
US, Israeli, and British Experts Directing the Aggression
In a stark revelation regarding foreign involvement in the war, Sayyed al-Houthi highlighted that the Saudi enemy is merely a proxy fighting with American aircraft and bombs purchased from Washington.
“The Americans announced that it is a joint force numbering 200 military experts managing the aggressive operations in Saudi Arabia,” he noted. He added that “those managing the Saudi enemy’s operations are American, Israeli, and British experts, and the foreign role is clear.”
According to the Ansarullah leader, this foreign supervision proves that the unjust aggression, which began in 2015, is an imperialist-Zionist project aimed at keeping the Yemeni people “weak, enslaved, oppressed, divided, and fragmented.”
Saudi War Crimes vs. Yemeni Morality
Sayyed al-Houthi drew a sharp contrast between the moral conduct of the Yemeni Armed Forces and the barbaric tactics of the US-backed Saudi coalition. Over the past 12 years of aggression, he noted, the Saudi-led forces have shown zero respect for human life or religious sanctities.
He detailed how the coalition has killed thousands of women and children, bombed civilian homes and markets, and targeted over 2,000 mosques across Yemen, including historic sites far from the frontlines. The aggressors even bombed a shelter for the blind in Sanaa, as well as cemeteries and archaeological sites.
“The Saudi crimes in our country were not just individual cases... but a fixed policy,” he asserted, noting that Yemen possesses undeniable evidence of these crimes acknowledged by international organisations.
A Stance of Necessary Defense
Reaffirming Yemen’s position, the Ansarullah leader stressed that the Yemeni people did not initiate the conflict and are acting purely in “a position of necessary defence.” He criticised the Saudi regime for weaponising periods of de-escalation to tighten arbitrary sieges rather than pursuing genuine peace based on mutual respect.
Concluding his speech, Sayyed al-Houthi congratulated the Yemeni people and the freedom fighters in the Armed Forces for their steadfastness and recent victories. He praised the general mobilisation of the Yemeni nation, proving to the world who truly upholds moral and religious principles in the face of a US-sponsored, region-wide aggression.
