The Yemeni Leader commemorates the February 11, 2015 withdrawal of U.S. Marines from Sana’a and congratulates Iran on the anniversary of its 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Yemen | PUREWILAYAH.COM – Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi issued a statement on Wednesday marking the anniversary of February 11, 2015, when U.S. Marines departed from the Yemeni capital, Sana’a.
In his address, he congratulated the Yemeni people on what he described as a historic turning point that ended direct American presence in the political center of the country.
The Leader stated that the departure of U.S. forces concluded a period during which, according to his remarks, the American ambassador exercised decisive influence over state institutions. He characterized the event as a significant national milestone and attributed the outcome to Yemen’s internal mobilization and political developments at the time.
Congratulations to Iran on Revolution Anniversary
Sayyed al-Houthi also extended congratulations to the Islamic Republic of Iran on the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini.
He noted that the revolution established an Islamic political system independent of American influence and said Iran has remained consistent in its policies despite regional pressures.
The statement referenced Iran’s support for the Palestinian cause and its role in regional political dynamics over the past four decades.
Regional Context and Ongoing Conflict in Gaza
In the statement, the Yemeni Leader addressed broader regional developments, including the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. He described the Israeli military campaign as involving widespread destruction and civilian casualties.
He also referred to recently circulated documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, stating that they have generated international attention and discussion.
Call for Islamic Unity
Sayyed al-Houthi concluded by emphasizing what he described as the responsibility of the Islamic Ummah to uphold principles of justice and solidarity, particularly in relation to Palestine.
He stated that greater awareness and coordination among Muslim-majority societies are necessary amid current regional challenges.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Allah Almighty says in the Noble Qur’an:
“And it was incumbent upon Us to grant victory to the believers.”
(Surat Ar-Rum, 47)
Allah the Most High has spoken the truth.
We extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to our dear Yemeni Muslim people on the anniversary of the historic victory granted by Allah to our noble people on February 11, 2015, when the U.S. Marines were expelled in humiliation from the capital Sana’a—bringing an end to their direct control over the political and administrative center of the country, which they exploited to impose their policies and implement their conspiracies against the Yemeni people from within the heart of its capital.
At that time, the American ambassador in Sana’a held the first and final word over all state officials. Therefore, the flight of the U.S. Marines and the departure of the American clique of evil from Sana’a was truly a great victory granted by Allah. It was not achieved through negotiations, concessions, or bargaining over the freedom, dignity, and independence of our dear people. Rather, it was the result of the uprising of our people, rooted in their faith identity and their blessed revolution, culminating in the achievement of September 21, and the subsequent failure of enemy conspiracies. The American enemy despaired of subjugating the Yemeni people from within the capital, and by Allah’s grace and victory this significant outcome was realized.
We also extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to the Islamic Republic of Iran—its leadership and people—on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution under Imam Khomeini in 1979 and the establishment of an Islamic system liberated from American tyrannical dominance and steadfast against Zionist conspiracies for 47 years, achieving remarkable success in building an Islamic civilizational renaissance, adhering to its liberationist principles, supporting the oppressed—foremost the Palestinian people and their just cause—and persistently working to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and cooperation among the Muslim peoples of the region.
These historic victories of two Muslim peoples serve as an important lesson for all the peoples of the Islamic Ummah. They reinforce hope and anchor confidence in Allah’s true promise at a critical stage in which the enemies of Islam and Muslims seek to fully dominate our Ummah under their schemes of reshaping the region and promoting “Greater Israel.” They exploit their loyal agents to execute their conspiracies and benefit from negligence and abandonment of sacred responsibilities within the Ummah.
The major Qur’anic truths regarding the evil, criminality, and malice of the Jews and their loyalists have been clearly manifested in the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip over two full years. The world has witnessed the extent of American and Israeli brutality and tyranny. Global Zionism—with all its arms, formations, organizations, and agents in East and West—has been exposed. And now, with the spread of the Epstein documents, the hidden criminal scandals of Zionism have surfaced, completing the image for the world regarding its true nature.
Allah has revealed to the peoples of the world what was being concealed, as He says:
“And Allah will bring forth what you used to conceal.”
(Al-Baqarah: 72)
Our Islamic Ummah bears a tremendous responsibility to lead humanity with the values of truth, goodness, and justice in confronting Zionist tyranny. If it rises to fulfill this sacred responsibility, it will receive Allah’s victory and the support of peoples worldwide. This is among the clearest testimonies to the greatness of the faith-based, liberation-oriented path of our Yemeni people and the free people of the Ummah.
It is the duty of the Islamic Ummah to be more aware and more committed to supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance fighters and to stand firmly against the Israeli enemy and its American partner.
And the ultimate outcome belongs to the righteous.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. (PW)
