Saudi’s Malicious Role in Yemen: Supplying Intelligence for US–Israel to Undermine Gaza Support
Newly exposed confessions reveal a Saudi-run espionage network feeding intelligence to US and Israeli agencies, targeting Yemen’s military posture and its support for Gaza
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Yemen’s Ministry of Interior continues to publish information extracted from the confessions of the espionage network captured during Operation “Their Plots Shall Fail”, revealing extensive recruitment tactics, sabotage roles, and intelligence activities carried out in service of American, Israeli, and Saudi intelligence services.
According to the ministry, the network—linked to the joint operations room of US intelligence, Mossad, and Saudi intelligence based inside Saudi territory—operated through structured recruitment mechanisms, surveillance assignments, data extraction from networks, and the transmission of sensitive reports to foreign handlers.
Expanded Saudi–Israeli Spy Activity as Yemen Supported Gaza
The confessions indicate that Saudi–Israeli espionage activity expanded significantly during the last two years, at a time when Yemen was fully engaged in supporting Gaza.
During this period, the Saudi regime emerged as a primary supporter of the Israeli entity and its genocide in Gaza, while attempting to break Yemeni support for the Palestinian resistance.
Saudi Arabia also sought to intercept Yemeni missiles and drones launched in solidarity with Gaza. Hebrew media, including Maariv, previously reported that Riyadh played a role in promoting Israel’s narrative of the war and distorting the Yemeni resistance’s image through Saudi media platforms.
Professional Espionage Training Conducted in Riyadh
Confessions from agent Ali Hammoud revealed that he received high-level espionage training in Riyadh during two visits in August 2024 and March 2025, each lasting fourteen days.
Training included:
advanced electronic surveillance techniques
covert communication methods
the use of smartphones as multifunctional intelligence devices
encrypted channels for information transfer
specialized apps for data extraction, mapping, and location tracking
precision photography using disguised cameras (including car-remote cameras)
devices installed in vehicles to transmit real-time details of monitored sites
deployment of micro-cameras concealed in targeted locations
The sophistication of these tools indicates that Saudi intelligence was operating as an active partner for the Israeli enemy, combining both defensive and offensive coordination.
Many of the locations surveilled by the cell were later targeted by US–Israeli airstrikes, including airports, ports, vital installations, homes, and various buildings.
Saudi Arabia Enables the US–Israeli Targeting Architecture
This cooperation is not new. According to leaked documents and media reports cited in earlier years—including Wikileaks 2020 releases—Saudi Arabia’s longstanding alignment with US–Israeli regional projects has been repeatedly documented.
Although Saudi Arabia signed the April 2022 truce with Yemen, the kingdom continued to play a hidden but active role in the aggression.
Saudi policymakers view the resistance axis and rising regional powers as threats to their ambitions to direct the region’s political landscape, while their functional role within the US regional strategy prevents them from disengaging from Washington’s agenda.
Saudi Intelligence Activity Intensified in 2024
According to the network’s testimonies, Saudi intelligence activity escalated in Yemen throughout 2024, driven by US–Israeli requests for detailed data.
This suggests that penetrating Yemen’s defensive front required Saudi Arabia’s extensive resources and its deep ties inside Yemen, while the American and Israeli role focused primarily on:
providing advanced technological systems
receiving and analysing data
selecting targets
executing strikes against surveillance-designated sites
Much of the information requested was linked to Yemen’s military posture in support of Gaza and attempts to undermine it.
Remote Surveillance Tools and Israeli-Tech-Backed Intelligence Operations
The uncovered materials demonstrate that American and Israeli intelligence rely heavily on remote-surveillance technology, digital applications, and data extraction tools to gather information without exposing operatives.
Collected data included:
descriptions of sites and buildings
number of floors and structural use (residential or commercial)
security presence or surveillance cameras
vehicles and parking layouts
ownership details
patterns of activity in the area
entry and exit routes
The Israeli entity is known to maintain extensive partnerships with major tech companies such as Google, Amazon, and Palantir Technologies, which supply cloud-computing and data-processing services essential for large-scale intelligence and military operations.
Major Success for Yemeni Intelligence
Despite the danger posed by this network and its deep links to Mossad and the CIA, Yemen’s security and intelligence services succeeded in tracking, monitoring, penetrating, and dismantling the most dangerous spy network uncovered to date.
Officials say that this newly exposed cell represents only one part of a larger espionage architecture, and further networks are expected to be revealed as Yemen continues to counter foreign intelligence activity targeting the country. (PW)
